Bonded By Strength is a Pennsylvania based, 501(c)3 non-profit corporation committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of at-risk equines. Operating policies and procedures are determined and continuously modified by a Board of Directors. Competencies of Board members include, but are not limited to: knowledge, skills and abilities in equine husbandry; veterinary medicine; business admini

stration; public affairs and marketing; accounting; physical facilities operation and maintenance. Our mission:
Is to Rescue- Rehabilitate and Re-Home At Risk Equine from the Slaughter/ Auction Pipeline. Bonded By Strength Equine Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, at-risk equine. We provide shelter, care, medical and rehabilitation services to equines in need, and whenever possible, we place them in loving, safe, permanent homes. Equines that cannot be placed are given permanent sanctuary so that they may live out the remainder of their lives in safety and with dignity. Goals:
BBSER will utilize the resources from donors, sponsors and volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome as many equines into permanent homes as possible , while maintaining a high level of care for equines in the facility. By publicizing and educating the public, spreading awareness of the the fate of so many at-risk equine, the urgent needs for equines, their options and availability, the organization will attract donors, sponsors and potential adopters for rescued animals. BBSER will educate equine owners and the community on preventive care and ethics regarding equines.

Do you remember Mama Mia, the beautiful palomino mare that came in with the little Friesian cross filly Indy, while carrying Jasmine?

Jasmine ( Rose ) is also a Friesian / Cross filly.

Rose is thriving with her family, and just look how absolutely stunning she is.

The road shoes are off. She is ready to be a momma. Rose was so good for the farrier. You could see her anxiety building but she held it together.
We have a hay pick lined up for Saturday morning. I’m sad to say we still need need $425 to meet our match and allow us to go pick up the load of hay.

🌹 Rose got a bath in preparation for foaling.
Washing away the past and welcoming a fresh, clean start.

This mare reminds me so much of Adira when she first arrived — always watching, always unsure, carrying that untrusting look in her eyes.

Beneath the fight-or-flight response is a mare that was once loved and cared for.
And honestly, how could you blame her for being guarded?
She’s been pushed through chutes, taken to how many different auctions, yelled at, likely struck with flags, bought and resold to how many people in the last year that we know of, all while trying to survive and protect her baby.

But under that hardened exterior is a beautiful, loving mare just waiting to emerge.

We’re ready when she’s ready. ❤️

Time, patience, and love are things every living being deserves to feel in their life, no matter what their past may hold.

Sweet little Rose 🌹

This little mama has been awfully uncomfortable, I’m sure all you mama’s out there can relate. Down to the last stretch, can’t see your feet, can’t get comfortable. My educated guess is she doesn’t make it to her due date of June 10th.
She’s very soft in her hind end and had a drip of colostrum last night.
When do you thinks she’s going to foal?
