SOMD SIG
On May 29, Beth Fabey led a joint camera club field trip for members of Coastal Camera Club's SOMD SIG and the Bowie-Crofton Camera Club.

Members met for an early dinner and camaraderie at Fitzie's Restaurant overlooking Breton Bay in Leonardtown and then proceeded to Goldpetals Farm in Chaptico, MD where they had an opportunity to photograph fields of red poppies, larkspur, batchelor buttons, yellow canola and various outbuildings.

At least one person experimented with a lens baby while others tried out Beth's various FX filters including a Whirlpool by Halo as well as a Kaleidoscope filter and an 8-line Prism, both by Bitinbi.

On a very windy but sunny May 30 George Hudson, John Whitmore, Denise Jones, Greg Rinker, and Sam Markman photographed the 5th Annual Rally for 1st Responders. Over the next several weeks, their photographs will be featured on the Rally's page. R4W photographs will be on their website.

Next up, on June 13, is the Cancer Support Community Delaware's Annual Wings of Hope butterfly release to be held at Milton Memorial Park. This is always a very special event capturing the activities and reactions of the children and excitement of the butterfly release. Current Club volunteers are: Denise Jones, Andy Rubenstein, Mark Houlday, and Diane Markman.
