**We need your help!**

Club CAN’s **1st Annual Live & Silent Auction Fundraiser** is happening **October 24, 2026** at the beautiful **Lodge of Ironwoods in Leawood!**

We’re currently looking for **silent auction item donations**! 🎁 Every item donated helps us raise funds to continue and expand our **community social event programming** and develop our **Workforce Bridge Pilot Program**.

**Workforce Bridge** will provide a small cohort of neurodivergent adults seeking employment with individualized support from speech-language pathologists who are also trained and certified as job coaches to build:
✨ Communication & self-advocacy skills
✨ Career readiness, resume prep, &interview skills
✨ Workplace/Executive functioning skills
✨ Community Partnerships with neurodiversity-affirming employers
✨ Ongoing support for both the employer and the employee to maintain workplace success and support job retention.

Last night we had so much fun at our Ice Cream Social Event that we were not very good about getting pictures! That is what happens when ice cream gets involved! 🍦 A huge THANK YOU to The Frosted Peddler LLC | Handcrafted Desserts for the amazing homemade push pop treats!

We had vanilla, birthday cake, chocolate brownie, mint chocolate chip, mango, strawberry-lemonade, and so many fun flavors! There were gluten free and diary free options as well. It was the perfect end-of-summer treat as school starts back up!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to present this morning at the Johnson County Comm. College Business Breakfast Series on **Building a Neurodiversity-Affirming Workplace: Creating Spaces Where ALL Minds Thrive.**

A special thank you to our incredible Board Member, Jack Crews (Jack Crews ), for sharing his lived experience and valuable perspective as a neurodivergent employee. His insights helped bring an authentic and meaningful voice to today’s conversation.

We enjoyed connecting with local professionals, engaging in thoughtful discussions, and exploring ways to create more inclusive workplaces where every individual can succeed.

Thank you to Johnson County Community College for hosting this important event. We look forward to continuing to advocate for neurodiversity and building communities where **all minds thrive.** 💙

If you haven’t been to this Business Breakfast Series, we highly recommend attending! It is a great place to connect and learn from people in our community. We are continuously impressed by JCCC Workforce Development & Continuing Education. The next event is October 28th, 2026!

The Johnson County Transition Council and Family Advocacy Committee is excited to invite you to its Community Resource Sharing Event on July 30th!

This informative event is designed to connect individuals and families with valuable community resources that support successful employment and greater independence for individuals with disabilities.

Representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation, Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), and Working Healthy will share information about employment supports, benefits counseling, and resources that empower individuals with disabilities to pursue meaningful employment while maintaining important benefits, including Medicaid coverage.

Whether you are just beginning to explore transition services or looking to expand your knowledge of available supports, this event offers an excellent opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with professionals dedicated to helping individuals achieve their employment goals.
