Thank you for registering for the fifth annual Sunset Dip 5K, presented by the Siembida and Boggs Philanthropic Foundation, taking place on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at Firestone Park in Columbiana.
Race day registration and packet pick-up take place from 6:30pm-7:15pm at Firestone Pool in Firestone Park. There will be a table set up just outside the pool area. The address for Firestone Pool is: 338 E. Park Ave, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
Parking is available in the large parking lot adjacent to Firestone Pool.
Restrooms are available inside Firestone Pool.
The start line is just a short distance from the parking lot/pool area. We will direct participants to the starting line from the front of the pool.
The finish line is located next to Firestone Pool.
The 5K race begins at 7:30pm.
The course consists of roads, paved walking trails, sidewalks, and a short area of gravel parking lot. Volunteers and police support will direct participants on the course and directional arrows will also line the course. Please be aware that the park is open to traffic during the race. If this is your first time participating, please pace yourself. This is a very rolling course.
A water stop is available near the 1.8-mile mark on the course.
We are anticipating a chance of thunderstorms prior to or during the race. For any delays or adjustments, please follow our page and/or pay attention to your emails. Please plan accordingly.
The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 8:40pm inside Firestone Pool. Snacks and water will also be provided for participants after the race.
Participants have access to the pool party beginning at 8:00pm. Participants may swim until 10:00pm. The pool party is only available for those that have registered for the event.
As a reminder we are always collecting used running shoes that we send out for reuse/recycling. Our non-profit gets about $1.00 per name brand pair donated and we keep the landfills a little less full as well.
