The Lee County Chamber of Commerce will be closed today in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday that commemorates a pivotal turning point in American history. On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, setting the stage for what would become the most popular celebration of emancipation in the United States. He took over the state and enforced Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation of 1863.

Today is an opportunity to recognize a significant chapter in American history, and the historic fight for equal rights that continues today.

Earlier today on Tuesday, June 9th the Lee County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting at Transformations !

Transformations Fitness Group is a Yoga and Pilates Studio that offers a wide variation of fitness in the Pilates and Yoga practice. They are the only Pilates Reformer studio in the Albany area! Whether you are just starting out or have been practicing for years, Transformation’s highly skilled and trained instructors make sure everyone has a place in this studio. Students can expect a total body class for all fitness levels in a warm and inviting studio environment.

Classes are offered according to the following schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 9:30 AM, 12:00 NOON, 6:00 PM
Friday: 9:30 AM, 12:00 NOON
Saturday: 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM
Sunday (second & fourth Sunday ONLY): 3:00 PM
