Northeast Concord St Marathon

Northeast Concord St Marathon A short race to hang with the coolest people in the world, and help those who could use it.

The Northeast Concord Street Marathon is a 75 ft (0.0228K for our metric friends) “race” that celebrates the power of bringing neighbors together to help their community. Founded by Terry and Mary White in 2013, it all started as a humorous way to meet some new neighbors. It has since evolved into an annual tradition that raises funds and awareness for local causes. Past beneficiaries include Har

vesters Community Food Network, Gilda’s Club of Kansas City, and Phoenix Family.

2017 proceeds will benefit Rosa Adams-Bussard, former band director of Lee’s Summit North and Olathe Northwest. Rosa suffered a spinal injury in 2012 and has required intensive therapy and medical care ever since. She made a lasting impact on her students and their families, some of whom even call Northeast Concord Street home; it’s the least we can do to give back to such an amazing woman!
