Jacomo Yacht Club Promoting sailing and camaraderie on Kansas City's only peaceful, horsepower restricted lake...Lake Jacomo.

Open to all experienced or aspiring sailors across Missouri and Kansas. Who We Are

- The Fleet holds a monthly business meeting on the third Saturday of each month at the shelter house at Sailboat Cove from March thru October.

- A dinner follows each monthly business meeting hosted by a volunteering member with the main dish provided by the Fleet.

- The Fleet hosts a mid season Pig Roast as wel

l as an annual Holiday Party in December.

- We provide educational workshops on a regular basis for Fleet members.

- Serve as a liaison with Jackson County Parks and Recreation promoting interests and needs as they relate to sailing.

- Publishes Scuttlebutt our monthly newsletter.

- Maintains and provides a Fleet Roster to each member.

- Membership card with discounts at Boat US and participating yacht clubs and retailers.

- The Fleet has adopted and maintains Sailboat Cove.

- Maintains the mast crane located at Sailboat Cove Dry Storage.

- The Fleet represents sailors from Sailboat Cove and Jacomo South Docks as well as those who dry sail. Boat ownership is not a requirement and those who are interested or aspiring sailors are welcome members.

Just wanted to send a quick reminder about our April meeting THIS SATURDAY at noon! Please remember to RSVP as soon as possible so Chris and Karen know how many potatoes to get for the baked potato bar. As of now there are only a few confirmed and/or interested in attending. Please let us know on the website or the facebook event post below if you'll be there so that we can give our fantastic hosts a more accurate count.

Thanks to everyone who came out for cove clean-up this morning! The shelter has been power washed, the hill mowed and trimmed, the sidewalks blown, and the shrubs cleaned out and up.
