Played in EYBL Open Circuit Event. We have been building our “Small” program for 3.5 years just to get them ready for a circuit like this.
Kids went 3-0 today (3 games in 6.5 hours) 😳😳😳😳😳😳
First to have the fight to still try to win a 3rd game- this is a tough a nails 7th grade team!!!!
Had several parents on other teams compliment the way our program plays the game (credit our parents and players)

But our team was most excited about Cade Cunningham taking time with them to give photos.

To do that shows that young NBA Star is a great person. We were fans but our respect for him is through the roof. (See Photos below)

Our AAU Basketball family had a tough weekend. One of our young players has had a family member take his own life.
We often times will maximize sports in our culture as the most important and many times we forget the value of family and things we go through individually.
We mourn for Ms Adia and Eli for the loss of a son a brother Henry.
They have started a GoFundme for the family and I wanted to share the link below. We can never truly know what things are transpiring in peoples lives. We pray for Ms Adia and Elias

*** Team BBA Fundraiser ***

Our AAU players commit fully to their development from February through July. By raising $3,000 for a SHOOTING MACHINE, we can make that commitment count by providing consistent, game-like training that plays a major role in preparing them to be “player-ready” for their school teams at all future levels.

Our Double Good fundraiser runs from February 09 – February 13! We’re selling Double Good’s award-winning popcorn and earning 50% of every sale.

Visit our fundraising page to learn more on how to get started.

We took an “unofficial visit” to see Michigan State vs Nebraska in a huge Big10 matchup.
We have access to all
College teams and all Pro-Teams video clips and games.

We have weekly (Pax has daily scouting 30 mins) scouting sessions to study how position players play. One of Paxtons key players is MSU Jeremy Fears.

At the game we charted Fears efficiency. But the biggest thing was Paxton meet him anf got to talk with him after the game.

“Dad, I literally got to talk with Jeremy Fears…… That’s tough”.

These moments when you watch how a player plays in person (speed, strength, vision) you start to understand.

We been teaching something called “Getting under the ball when we work on shooting”

Paxton was watching players in warm ups and a real focus on “getting under the ball” on both teams.
The after game discussion hearing his mind turning was all worth it. 🏀🏀🏀

I have been to 8 middle school games. A lot of what is in this video is true.
But what’s more discouraging I was watching a game the other day both middle school coaches were literally sitting on the bench the whole time never getting up for any instruction.
It was mind-blowing.
Yes some are just teachers who coach for the stipend but there is no real learning for those kids.
There seem to be no training to help these middle school coaches. Which is also need just things like practice structure, offensive and defensive structure, special situation. Something as simple as how to line up for a jump ball 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️
This is why basketball in the US is struggling no middle age foundational basketball
