Sherry's Hope, located in Wilson County, Tennessee, is a nonprofit, Christian organization dedicated to helping individuals and families in Wilson County, TN and surrounding communities who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis and treatment. In January 2021, Sherry's Run became Sherry's Hope to better reflect the work done by the organization throughout the year. What started in 2004 as a once
a year 5K event has blossomed into a ministry that works year round assisting families fighting cancer. Because of your support, over the past five years more than 700 families have received over $1.2 million in financial assistance from Sherry's Hope. This is money that has gone directly back into the community to assist patients with utilities, housing payments, prescriptions, medical bills, gas and groceries. The Sherry's Run 5K Run/Walk is held the second Saturday of September each year in Lebanon, Tennessee. A cancer diagnosis and treatment can be devastating to a family and thanks to the support of the community, we are able to provide help and hope during a difficult time. Sherry's Hope also works to educate our community on colorectal health. Colorectal cancer is one of the most treatable cancers if caught early. Free colon cancer screening test kits are available by texting your name and address to 615.925.2592. For more information, visit sherryshope.org or call 615.925.2592.
