While the recent flooding has impacted parts of our campus, we’re grateful to share that everyone at Big Springs Ranch for Children remained safe and dry.

Our team is currently assessing our roads and facilities to determine the extent of any damage. We appreciate everyone’s prayers and support as we work through the cleanup and recovery process.

Some people simply make every team stronger, and Glenda McKinney is one of those people.

Glenda is always willing to step up wherever she’s needed. Whether she’s taking on new responsibilities, filling in during challenging times, or simply lending a helping hand, she does it all with a servant’s heart and a positive attitude.

Her dedication, reliability, and willingness to go above and beyond make a lasting difference in the lives of our children and our staff. We truly couldn’t do what we do without team members like Glenda.

Creativity was on full display at Big Springs Ranch for Children!

Our girls enjoyed an afternoon of painting on easels, expressing themselves one brushstroke at a time, while our boys created a colorful rock snake—each painted rock representing teamwork, creativity, and fun.

Activities like these do more than create art. They build confidence, encourage imagination, strengthen friendships, and remind our kids that every small contribution can become part of something bigger.

For more than 10 years, Katherine and Jerald have faithfully served our youth. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment have made a lasting impact on countless lives.

As Jerald serves in training with the Texas National Guard, we are proud of his commitment to our country. Meanwhile, Katherine continues pouring into the lives of our middle school girls while counting down the days until he returns home.
