Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Foundation The Leadville Trail 100 Legacy is the philanthropic arm of the Leadville Race Series, providing funding support to local programs and initiatives.

When founders Ken Chlouber & Merilee Maupin began the Leadville Trail 100 Run over 35 years ago, their singular purpose was for the Leadville community to benefit financially from the races. That goal continues to be met by assisting local businesses with today's economic hardships by bringing people into town. On the other side of that equation is the Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Foundation, which speaks to tomorrow's challenges through community improvement, education, and recreation.

A huge thank you to Cycles of Life for once again supporting the LT100 MTB DreamChaser program by providing Jeff Spencer with an incredible ride for race season!

For the second year in a row, their generosity helps make this program possible, giving Jeff the equipment he needs as he takes on the Leadville Trail 100 while raising funds that stay right here in Lake County. We’re grateful for Cycles of Life’s continued support and commitment to helping us create opportunities for local students, nonprofits, and community programs!

Congratulations to Trail 100 Scholarship recipient Tyler!
A lifelong Leadville resident, Tyler has spent the last three years balancing academics, dual enrollment coursework, and basketball at Lake County High School. By graduation, he’ll have earned an impressive 62 college credits through Colorado Mountain College!!

This fall, Tyler is headed to Clemson University to study Automotive Engineering, with hopes of beginning a career with a major automotive company after college.

As he prepares for this next chapter, Tyler says he’ll miss many of the things that make Leadville home: the mountains, the weather, and most of all, the people!

We’re proud to support students like Tyler as they chase big dreams beyond Lake County while carrying a piece of this community with them wherever they go💜🎓

For Aries, Leadville will always be home.
A four-sport athlete and TRIO Upward Bound participant, Aries has spent the last four years chasing goals both on and off the field! This fall, she will attend Colorado State University to study Animal Sciences with dreams of becoming a veterinarian.

As a recipient of a $2,000 Trail 100 Scholarship, Aries shared that this support is helping her take the next step toward her future while reminding her that her community believes in her.

Congratulations, Aries!! We are proud to be a small part of your journey and can’t wait to see what comes next🎓💜
