🎙️ Šta je lobiranje, kako funkcioniše politički utjecaj u Washingtonu i gdje je Bosna i Hercegovina u svemu tome?

Nasa izvršna direktorica, Selma Porča, gostovala je u podcastu Transatlantic Media Network, gdje je govorila o američkoj vanjskoj politici prema Bosni i Hercegovini, lobiranju, sankcijama, političkom zagovaranju i ulozi bošnjačko-američke zajednice.

A little piece of Bosnia and Herzegovina for two longtime friends. 🇧🇦⚽🇺🇸

During her recent visit to Sarajevo, CBNA Executive Director Selma P***a had the pleasure of presenting U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Dick Durbin with personalized jerseys of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team.

Each jersey carried the senator's surname and the year they first entered the U.S. Congress: 2009 for Senator Shaheen and 1983 for Senator Durbin.

A small but meaningful gesture of gratitude for their decades of public service and longstanding friendship with Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosniak-American community.

Our national team represents more than football. For Bosnians around the world, it is a symbol of pride, belonging, and the enduring connection to our homeland.

Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington: Advocacy, Political Engagement, and the Role of the Diaspora. 🇧🇦🇺🇸

During her recent visit to Sarajevo, CBNA Executive Director Selma P***a joined N1's Ivana Erić for a wide-ranging conversation about Bosnia and Herzegovina's position in Washington, the growing influence of paid lobbying, and the need for more coordinated and sustained engagement with U.S. policymakers.

The discussion also touched on CBNA's work on Srebrenica genocide remembrance, the significance of honoring Senator Jeanne Shaheen with the inaugural Order of Lilium Bosniacum, and the importance of engaging younger generations in civic and political life.

A meaningful milestone for the Congress of Bosniaks of North America (CBNA). 🇧🇦🇺🇸

During her recent working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, CBNA Executive Director Selma P***a presented the inaugural Order of Lilium Bosniacum to U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen at the U.S. Ambassador's residence in Sarajevo.

Selma also joined Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Dick Durbin during their visit to Srebrenica and held a separate meeting with the leadership of the Srebrenica Memorial Center to discuss continued cooperation and support for this vital institution.

The visit reflected CBNA's longstanding commitment to truth, remembrance, justice, and strengthening the bonds between the Bosniak-American community, the United States, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Upućujemo iskrene čestitke dr. Nedžadu ef. Grabusu povodom izbora za reisu-l-ulemu Islamske zajednice u Bosni i Hercegovini.

Njegovo istaknuto akademsko djelovanje, bogato iskustvo i dugogodišnja posvećenost međureligijskom dijalogu predstavljaju značajan temelj za obavljanje ove časne i odgovorne dužnosti. Želimo mu mnogo uspjeha i mudrosti u ovoj časnoj misiji služenja vjeri, zajednici i društvu.

Istovremeno, izražavamo duboku zahvalnost dosadašnjem reisu-l-ulemi Huseinu ef. Kavazoviću na četrnaest godina predanog služenja i vodstva. Njegov doprinos jačanju Islamske zajednice, očuvanju dostojanstva i zajedništva te djelovanju u širem društvenom prostoru ostavlja značajan trag.
