Abigail’s Plan constructed a rubberized baseball field and had 145 players with special needs in 2025, all Glory to God!!!

Also, God allowed Abigail’s Plan and the Summertown TN community to team up and complete an all-inclusive, ‘Abigail’s Playground’. Abigail's Plan was created to raise an initial $350,000 to build a Miracle League baseball field for people of all ages with special needs to play in an organized baseball league. We have people with wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and other walking issues that difficulties with mobility on the uneven grass and dirt surface of a regular baseball field. Some of our players are in their wheelchairs every waking hour of their lives. These chairs are very expensive and the caregiver has to spend lots of time after a game cleaning up the chairs. Most of these wheelchairs have brake systems and other intricate parts that are very sensitive to dirt and debris. Regular baseball field dugouts are not wheelchair or walker accessible. Our players in wheelchairs that use walkers have to sit outside the dugouts during the game instead of having the experience of comradery with their teammates inside the dugout. While we can't take disabilities away, Abigail's Plan is striving to create an environment to make the baseball experience as enjoyable as possible for players with special needs. With a rubberized field, our players will have the freedom to play baseball without the obstacles of a regular baseball field.

🎃🍬 Pumpkins, Candy, popcorn, and a whole lot of HAPPY! 🍬🎃

A HUGE thank-you to the Junior Auxiliary of Lawrence County for hosting “Treats Around the Table” for our Abigail’s Plan friends with special needs! We had an amazing turnout, and everyone had a blast! 🧡

There was loads of candy, plenty of popcorn, and a pumpkin for every friend to take home! 🎃 But the sweetest treats of all were the smiles, laughter, and time together.

Thank you, Junior Auxiliary, for loving our friends and making them feel so special. You filled more than their candy bags—you filled their hearts, too! 🧡

We are excited that Abigail’s buddy and candidate for US Congress, Brent Taylor, stopped by the Abigail’s Plan tent at the Middle Tennessee District Fair this afternoon. Senator Taylor is currently a TN State Senator and has been a wonderful friend to Abigail’s Plan.

FAIR DAY for our friends with special needs!!!Heritage Automotive sponsored our lunch and Doss Brothers did the cooking. We met the wonderful Firefighters, did Farmer for a Day, met the cattle barn folks, saw Nick and his wife, and Smokey the Bear. Thank you to the Rotary Club for a wonderful day!!!
