MEET JADZIA DAX!

Sometimes, the perfect dog isn’t the one doing the most. She’s the one who’s happiest just being by your side.

Meet Jadzia Dax, a Terrier/Chihuahua mix estimated to be no older than 2 years old and the proud mama to our very own Kang, Kor, and Koloth.

Jadzia is a calm, gentle girl who seems to have mastered the art of being the perfect companion. She loves being near her people, never feels the need to jump all over you, and is just as happy cuddling up beside you for a movie as she is enjoying a little playtime.

Mornings are her favorite! When Jadzia wakes up, her excitement shines through, reminding you that even the calmest souls have their silly, happy moments.

She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need much to be happy. A cozy spot beside you, a little playtime, and someone to love are all part of her perfect day.

Jadzia could be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calmer, easygoing dog, including an older adult or a family seeking a gentle companion for their child. As with any dog, interactions with children should always be supervised, and the right fit will depend on everyone’s needs.

Jadzia isn’t asking for much. Just a home, a little love, and a person whose side she can call her favorite place to be.

Justice for Fester 😭💔

We got a call from someone who found an injured Frenchie, sleeping outside in the cold. The good Sam took him in overnight, kept him warm, and called us this morning.
Where he was found is a known homeless encampment with major drug activity coming and going from the area. The supposed owner that was seen sleeping with this dog under the stairwell several times, had succumbed to a drug overdose 2 days before. This poor dog was paralyzed, and suffering from other injuries, we just aren’t sure to what extent. What we do know, is that upon picking him up, his gums were the palest we have ever come across…and his body was lifeless and limp, and he definitely didn’t end up like this from just laying alone for 2 days before someone found him.

We got him into the car to rush him to VEG, and before we even left the complex he had taken his last breath. 💔😭

We can only assume he finally felt at peace enough to crossover, knowing that he fell into the right hands. 😔🌈

We tried performing CPR, drove him to the nearest vet, where they confirmed he had passed on, and that he didn’t have a chip.

We don’t know all the details…how he got this way…what neglect he endured…but we do know that we didn’t get any help from the city when asking for a necropsy and welfare check on the encampment because “his owner is dead, there’s nothing we can do”. We are simply devastated. We have to be their voice…this is every day reality in these situations…dogs being adopted for free or stolen, then sold and traded around for drugs or other necessities. Something needs to be done, and we are heartbroken this event wasn’t taken seriously. We will do what we can to see this through, for Fester. 🥺🫶🏼

Meet Tiger! 🐾🧡

Over a year and a half in rescue, and Tiger is still waiting for someone to choose him. He’s received only a few applications, and those didn’t work out at the time. How does this handsome, amazing boy keep getting overlooked? He has so much to offer—he just needs someone to see it.

Tiger is approximately 3 years old, goofy, fun-loving, and always ready for an adventure. He loves car rides, toys, exploring, and making new friends. He’s amazing with humans of all ages!

His DNA results came in, and he is a perfect mix of 50.7% Siberian Husky, 18.6% American Pit Bull Terrier, 15.3% German Shepherd, 8% Boxer, and 7.4% Cane Corso.

Tiger completed an eight-week board-and-train program with BarNone K9, LLC, gaining confidence and learning to make good decisions. His obedience is top-notch, his recall is excellent, and he’s worked hard to become a great family companion. He needs a consistent family that sees the importance of maintaining his training.m while allowing to be his goofy self.

He is house trained, kennel trained, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.

Tiger would do best with an active family or another compatible, active dog to become best buds with and play his heart out.

Tiger has put in the work. Now he needs a family to share his life with. Please share his story—you could be the reason his people finally find him. 🧡

ADOPT SALAZAR!
🐾💚 Salazar deserves a forever that lasts. 💚🐾

Now over a year old, this handsome Terrier mix from our Harry Potter litter has been let down by three families since he was first listed. Through it all, he remains one of the sweetest, most affectionate little guys—and he’s still waiting for a family who will truly commit to him.

Salazar is timid by nature and needs time to feel safe. But once he’s comfortable with you, his goofy, playful personality comes out! He LOVES playing ball, has lots of energy, and is always happy to cuddle with his trusted people. 🎾

He is especially timid and fearful around men, so he would likely do best in an all-female home or a home with a very patient man who will let Salazar build trust at his own pace, without forcing interactions. His family will need to understand that earning his trust takes time—and that the affectionate little goofball underneath is worth the patience. 💚

Salazar is still working on potty training and currently goes both outside and on potty pads. He needs frequent outdoor breaks and a patient, consistent routine to help him transition to going fully outside.

This sweet boy deserves stability, kindness, and a family willing to help him keep learning and building confidence. After three chances that didn’t last, let’s make his next home his forever home.

Severely emaciated kitten alert 🚨

Meet Bellatrix, a tiny kitten that was born behind some warehouses, who went seeking help when she needed it most.
We got an urgent call from one of our sponsors LV Entertainment Productions about a tiny malnourished kitten who they found behind their warehouse; who was clearly not doing well. They packaged her up and cleaned her crusty face, and kept her safe until we were able to get there. She was rushed to our vet, where she was SNAP tested (negative 🙏 ) and looked over.

She is severely emaciated and weak, dehydrated, and suffering from a kitten cold. We are so grateful to have gotten her into our care before the storms came, because we highly doubt she would have made it. 😭

She’s with temp medical foster now, getting SubQ fluids, syringe feedings, and staying warm in an incubator. ❤️

Little Bellatrix is not out of the woods yet, and we hope she makes it through the night 🙏🥺
