On October 2, REBUILD globally is returning to the community that helped us turn an idea born after the Haiti earthquake into 16 years of jobs, education, and opportunity.

And we’re celebrating the best way we know how, with good friends, Haitian coffee, espresso martinis, and a mission worth raising a glass to.

Next up in the Elèv Program’s summer enrichment series at REBUILD globally: a three-day course in digital marketing, e-commerce, and dropshipping!

This course was requested by our students themselves, as they want to learn how to create income-generating opportunities in the digital economy. Through hands-on training, they learned how to build online businesses, market products, and turn their ideas into real opportunities. It was a huge success and we can’t wait to see what’s next for their entrepreneurial endeavors!

While school is out for the summer in Haiti, learning continues at the REBUILD globally campus! Our students kicked off a series of enrichment sessions with an artisan workshop, where they learned from local craftsmen and created their own hand-beaded sandals. What a joyful, creative way to keep learning beyond the classroom and build community all summer long!

Just in from our campus in Haiti: a classroom makeover! Our new benches, handcrafted by a talented local carpenter, are sturdy, weather-resistant, and built to last. Improvements like this go a long way as we strive to give our Elèv Program students the environment they need to learn, grow, and succeed… all while supporting the local economy!

It’s safe to say that the last Saturday of each month is quickly becoming a favorite at REBUILD globally as we continue bringing each month to a close with a session focused on physical education and recreation.

This past Saturday, we introduced several new games and activities, but with the World Cup approaching, and Haiti proudly taking part, we couldn’t leave soccer out of the fun! Students enthusiastically joined in, showing teamwork, energy, and plenty of smiles along the way.

Everyone had a fantastic time (our tutors included), and we’re already looking forward to next month’s activities!

Today is Mother’s Day in Haiti! This photo was taken during a parents’ meeting with our students and shows some of them alongside their beautiful mothers. Today, we honor their love, strength, and sacrifices, and we wish all mothers in Haiti a beautiful and joyful day.

The final video in our series honoring Macbeth Studio’s 20th Anniversary was shot in 2019. It is perhaps our favorite, as it highlights a full circle moment: Rony Saint Louis’ journey through REBUILD globally’s programs.

What makes this video even more meaningful is that Rony is now the Operations Manager at our Market Engine, Deux Mains. Lives transformed by the work, and captured with unmatched artistry by Macbeth Studio, Jim Hobart and his whole team.

We love you, Macbeth Studio! Thank you for believing in us, and for showing the world what’s possible when you refuse to give up.

Part two of our Macbeth Studio 20th Anniversary Series!

In 2017, Macbeth Studio came back to Haiti to document another powerful moment in our journey. We had just begun working with a vulnerable community who had been deported, and were living in dire conditions at the Haitian-Dominican Border. Jim Hobart, Morgan Walker, and the entire Macbeth Studio team fearlessly traveled to the refugee camp with us and masterfully documented this incredible moment in our history.
