We’re excited to unveil the newly redesigned logo for Boots on the Playground!

After several years of helping bring warm feet and big smiles to children across Mid-Michigan, we felt it was time to give the program a fresh new look. The new winter-boot-shaped logo represents exactly what this program is all about keeping kids warm, comfortable, and ready to learn and play during Michigan winters.
We’re also excited to once again team up with WILX News 10 this November to raise funds to purchase new winter boots for children in our community.
This year, we’re proud to announce that Gier Park Elementary School in Lansing, Michigan has been selected as our featured school. Through Boots on the Playground, our goal is to provide every student at Gier Park Elementary with a brand-new pair of winter boots.
And our impact won’t stop there. Additional winter boots will be distributed to school clothing closets throughout the Mid-Michigan area, helping ensure that teachers and school staff have boots available when a child comes to school without proper winter footwear.
At Footprints of Michigan, we believe no child should have to sit out at recess, walk through the snow in inadequate shoes, or struggle to concentrate in class because their feet are cold and wet.
Warm boots. Happy feet. Kids ready to learn and play.

⛳ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY — 212 GOLFERS STRONG! ⛳

The 2026 8th Annual Swing Fore Soles Charity Golf Outing, Presented by Feldman Chevrolet of Lansing, was an incredible success!

The early morning brought plenty of rain, but 212 golfers showed up ready to play, support our mission, and make a difference. A little rain wasn't going to stop this group! Once again, our golfers proved that this outing is about so much more than golf. it is about community, friendship, giving back, and coming together for a purpose.

This year's outing was especially meaningful as we gathered in memory of our Vice President and the driving force behind Swing Fore Soles, Nick Shauver. His presence was felt throughout the course, and we know he would have been proud to see what this event has become.
