s which are:

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice- We place an intentional focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and justice (DEIJ) because we have felt the impact of injustice. We challenge ourselves and others to ask the uncomfortable questions. We aim to lead with empathy and compassion. Integrity- Integrity is the foundation upon which we build relationships and trust. We will not compromise our integrity. We aim to know and do what is right. Forward Thinking- We seek to make all decisions with a focus on the future- to do our part to create a better tomorrow. Excellence- We strive to set and achieve ambitious goals. Relationships Focused-We take pride in nurturing our relationships. Results Driven- We produce results. We are reliable and hold the trust of many stakeholders. Respect- We have respect for each other, our stakeholders, and the entire charitable sector. We value the opportunity to lean into acceptance. We will continue to take time to listen, learn, and grow. Our History:
Incorporated in 1990 as the Michigan Nonprofit Forum, the organization was first a think-tank dedicated to discussing issues impacting nonprofits. In 1994, the organization was renamed as the Michigan Nonprofit Association to provide direct advocacy and services to local nonprofit organizations.

πŸ“ Where is MNA? Kensington Metropark!

One week ago today, we traded our computers for sunshine and spent the day at Kensington Metropark with our families and colleagues for MNA's annual summer family outing.

New connections were made, water was definitely splashed and laughs were shared. A time was had!

It's Annie Hamaty's first day of school! 🍎

Earlier this month, Annie (our former Public Policy & Government Relations Manager) left MNA to return to grad school, and while we're already missing her, we couldn't be more excited for her.

Annie was a fierce advocate for Michigan nonprofits and a true champion for the sector. Her passion, dedication, and hard work made a lasting impact.

Thank you, Annie, for everything you've done. We're cheering you on as you begin this next chapter and can't wait to see all you'll accomplish.

It was a packed house in Midland for MNA's first-ever Annual Member Meeting! Members got an inside look at exciting updates, including MNA's new Member Health Plan and membership tiers. More importantly, they had the chance to connect, share ideas, and build relationships with nonprofit leaders from across Michigan.

Missed it this year? Don't worry. This is now an annual event, and we can't wait to see you next year!

Nonprofits are everywhere in our communities, even when we don't always realize it. They're the ones bringing farmers markets to neighborhoods so families can access fresh, healthy food. They're helping people get affordable medications and connecting community members to the resources they need.

We're proud of the 501(c)(3) organizations that show up every day to make our communities healthier, stronger, and more connected. Thank you for all you do.

Nonprofits are important-- so important that the governor has officially proclaimed this week as Charitable Nonprofit Week in recognition of the sector's impact on Michigan communities.

We're proud to be a 501(c)(3) and to stand alongside the nonprofits that strengthen, support, and serve our communities every day.

Nothing moves without a nonprofit. Your life is better BECAUSE of a nonprofit!

Every day, nonprofits show up. We feed families, mentor youth, advocate for change, care for our neighbors, strengthen communities, and help people thrive. We are Michigan's year-round safety net.

During this National Nonprofit week, let's take a moment to say thank you to the organizations and nonprofit leaders who show up when it matters most.

Still on the fence about joining MNA? Here's one more reason to say yes.

When your nonprofit becomes an MNA member, you gain access to one of our newest member benefits: the MNA Member Health Plan. Designed specifically for nonprofits, it's helping organizations explore quality health coverage options for their teams.

Don't just take our word for it. Hear directly from MNA members about their experience and why they made the switch. πŸŽ₯
