Thank you to all our loyal members that attended our annual Friends Of Pool 9 meeting and banquet, we appreciate you. Milestone 2,500 hour volunteer pins were presented to Jerry Boardman and Ric Zarwell by Kendra Pednault, manager McGregor District US Fish and Wildlife Service. Jerry Boardman was presented with the Friends Of Pool 9 volunteer of the year award. Thank you Jerry and Ric for your dedication and hard work. Jerry Boardman, Mike Conway, Kevin Quillin, Blake Schoh, and Jim Erbe were re-elected to 3 year board of director terms. We welcome Perry Hesse as our newest board member. A huge thank you to all our hardworking volunteers that made this event a huge success. We look forward to seeing you at our 2027 meeting and banquet. The bridge will be open!

The custom walnut table crafted by local a local artisan, Amish made rocking chair, and the cutting board made by Desoto High School shop class. Please note our earlier start time of 3:00 this year. The National Fish Hatchery in Genoa is once again hosting its annual sturgeon tagging event running from August through Sept. from 9 - 3. Erica Rasmussen's contact info is listed here if you wish to volunteer for this important event.

Please plan on attending this Federal Duck Stamp Program at the Ferryville Community Center this Wed. August 12 at 6:30. Bring a friend and enjoy this informative presentation about the history of our Federal Waterfowl stamp.

The Friends of Pool 9 raffle tickets Sales have begun! These tickets support our annual scholarships for De Soto high school and Lansing Kee High School. Each year the Friends a Pool 9 award $7000 in scholarship to these local schools. Tickets are on sale now to win $500. The raffle will be drawn on September 26 at the banquet. You do not need to be present to win. You may purchase tickets from Jerry Boardman, 563-419-7968, Lisa Welsh 563-568-7302, or any of the friends of Pool 9 members.
