So so true! (I'm pretty sure this can be applied to people, too.) CSB

We had to bring back this classic post, as always it is a great reminder that if your dog doesn't love other dogs, that is ok. And you're not alone!

Dog sociability is a spectrum! Each dog has different preferences on which dogs they like (or don’t), and that’s normal!!

After putting out the original post on this topic, we’ve gotten a lot of requests for a poster. So we reached out to the increeeedible Lili Chin to help us turn this into something special. to make this for us.

May we introduce… a whole lot of happy tails from the month of May! So many happy faces and fresh starts all in one month!

This month was extra super special because Blu, Irina, and Ludo, three dogs that have each been in our care for over a year, finally got to go home! After the time spent waiting and loving them during their stay here at the shelter, getting to see them walk out the door with their forever families made our human hearts so happy. We couldn’t be more excited for each of these 14 pets to start off their summer with a home!

To everyone who has adopted, shared, visited, or cheered ALL of these pets on— thank you!! You make moments like these possible for the animals who need it most! Here’s to new beginnings and so many wagging tails ahead. ❤️🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for Kitten Yoga last night! An additional thank you to the Tonganoxie Public Library for inviting us and to Aly for leading everyone through both sessions!

As of this post, Recycle and Suds are still currently available for adoption while Tourmaline, Azurite, and Howlite will be able to start looking for homes towards the end of this month. (They still have some growing to do.) Additionally, we are excited to say that Reuse was adopted earlier today!!

These babies had SO much fun hanging out with you all and interrupting your zen. Our humans had the best time too! In fact, we all had so much fun that we are doing it AGAIN in July! More information coming super soon, but we hope to see you there. ❤️🐾🧘

Kitten Yoga is almost here! Need a little extra motivation to sign up? These adorable faces are planning to join us at the Tonganoxie Public Library on Tuesday, June 2nd for the event! 🐈🧘

Participants will enjoy a beginner-friendly yoga session led by Aly Evans while kittens roam, play, cuddle, and generally do their best to convince everyone that yoga is secondary to kitten snuggles.

We still have spots available in both the 6PM and 7PM sessions! Registration is required through the library by calling 913-845-3281. The cost is $15 per person, and all proceeds benefit the pets in our care (which includes all of these cuties!)

Kitten Disclaimer: The kittens pictured are expected to attend, but our lineup of furry yoga assistants is always subject to change based on the needs of the kittens. Attendance by any specific kitten cannot be guaranteed.

We can't wait to see you there! 🐾

Just one more sleep until Kit-Tea at Krasnesky Manor for Wayward Cats! 🐾🫖

We're excited to introduce two of our feline friends who will be joining us tomorrow at the historic manor: Azula and Zuka! These beautiful girls will be spending the afternoon meeting guests, soaking up attention, and hoping to find the families they've been waiting for.

If you've been considering adding a cat to your family, Kit-Tea is the perfect opportunity to meet adoptable pets from several local organizations all in one place. Enjoy tea, treats, a beautiful setting, and plenty of wagging tails and happy purrs along the way!

Stop by between Noon and 4PM, say hello to Azula and Zuka, and learn more about all of the wonderful cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies looking for homes. You never know— you might just meet your newest family member. ❤️
