Our first Stars and Stripes Bunco Bash is in the books. What an incredible day! Thank you to everyone who came out, rolled the dice, laughed with friends, and helped us support the veterans at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home. ❤️🤍💙

From the packed tables… to the patriotic baskets… to the smiles, the wins, the losses, and the Buncos — this community showed up BIG.

We are so grateful for every player, every volunteer, every donor, and every business who helped make this event such a success. Your support means the world to our veterans and to our Sun Coast Pilot Club family.

Saturday morning (before Bunco), we had the pleasure of welcoming Florida District Governor‑Elect Leila LeVan to our monthly meeting. She led a beautiful welcome and initiation for our newest member, John Turner, with Service Dog/Therapy Dog Mickey stealing the show.

After John’s induction, Governor‑Elect Leila installed our 2026–2027 officers, helping us kick off the new Pilot year with encouragement and excitement. We are grateful for her leadership and support as we begin a new Pilot year together.

WE DID IT!

Together — our club and this incredible community — hosted our very first Stars & Stripes Bunco Bash, and it was a wonderful success.

Take a look at all of these hygiene and comfort items donated for the veterans at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home. Your generosity truly makes a difference. 🇺🇸❤️

And we’re not done yet! We will be using the cash proceeds to purchase additional supplies and to help schedule some fun activities for the men and women at Baldomero Lopez.

Fun fact: The facility is currently home to 118 men and 2 women, ranging in age from 40 to 100. Think about the decades of service represented in that building. It’s our honor to support them in such a simple, meaningful way — and your kindness shows just how much this community cares.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who attended, donated, and supported this event.

We’re already planning our next Stars & Stripes Bunco Bash for the fall. If you missed this one, we hope to see you there — and if you joined us this time, we can’t wait to welcome you back. We’re planning even more great prizes!

Sending many thanks to those who supported and attended our first ever Stars and Stripes Bunco Bash. We cannot say enough how much we appreciate the outpouring of love and support we received for our Veterans at Baldomero Lopez State Nursing Home. We will share more once we can sort through the amazing piles of donations we received but here is a quick shot of everything that was brought to the event today.
