Kids YoPoweR!® Movement and Learning Series Curriculum (for children 3–5 and 7–12)

WHY Kids YoPoweR! – A sole, proprietary and truly comprehensive program, like no other! Kids YoPoweR!® includes nutrition and psycholog

ical wellness with correlating parent education handouts and significant character development component. A series of unique, creative yoga based exercises, Journeys in Nature with Youman! Integrating children and nature, these magical journeys can be “taken” inside or out, regardless of weather. Kids YoPoweR!® curriculum coincides beautifully with our First Lady’s Let’s Move! Simple, relevant anti-bullying themes and important environmental messages model and nurture empathy and responsibility. On a magical journey, combining guided imagery, yoga style poses and creative movements, children experientially explore the body, mind and self. The synergy of active play, imagination and character development, allows Kids YoPoweR!® to lead children in developing a positive sense of personal wellness, self expression and empowerment! curriculum is based on the most recent guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics and recommendations of the American Heart Association. Programs are aligned with the Center for Disease Control curriculum suggestions for health and nutrition. Kids YoPower!® curriculum (for 3-5 year olds) aligns with Head Start Body Start!, as well as National Head Start and VPK standards. YoPoweR!® 3-5 program incorporates the CDC recommendations to address obesity in the child care setting. (Childhood obesity continues to be a leading public health concern that disproportionately affects low-income and minority children. Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled, and today, nearly one in seven low-income preschool aged children are obese.)
