We are pleased to announce that The Lancaster County Community Foundation is evolving its leadership structure to reflect the Foundation’s significant growth in assets, community impact and organizational capacity over the past 15 years.

As the Community Foundation evolves, Sam Bressi will serve as Chief Executive Officer, leading the Foundation’s external relationships, visibility, reputation and enterprise-wide opportunities. Tracy Cutler who has served as Executive Vice President, will become President, expanding her leadership of the Foundation’s mission, strategy, innovation and organizational effectiveness.

“This is a natural evolution for an organization that has grown in both scale and impact,” said Bressi. “We have an exceptionally strong team with tremendous expertise and depth of experience. This leadership structure gives us the capacity to build on that strength—deepening our impact here in Lancaster County while elevating the Foundation’s presence and relationships beyond our community.”

As President, Cutler will lead the Foundation’s strategic direction and day-to-day organizational leadership, with a focus on advancing its mission, responding to emerging community needs and opportunities, and continuing to strengthen the Foundation’s impact.

It’s been one week since our first Weaver Awards Celebration... can you believe it?!

We’re still reminiscing about all the joy, optimism, connection, and GOOD that filled the room. Our first 20 Lancaster County Weaver Award winners are building relationships, bringing neighbors together, and weaving the social fabric of our community stronger every day.

By sharing the stories of everyday people who see a need and invite others to be part of the solution, we hope to inspire even more people to join in. This may be our last weaver post for a little while, but weave only just begun!

🧶 Last night, Lancaster County came together to celebrate!

The Lancaster County Weaver Awards celebrate and support the everyday people who are building trust, solving problems, creating connections, and doing good in their neighborhoods.

We celebrated our first 20 Weaver Award winners and brought people from across the county together to connect in person, share stories, and recognize the good happening all around us. Something we could all use a little more of.

To our inaugural weavers, thank you for showing up for your neighbors and reminding us what’s possible when we show up for one another. And thank you to everyone who helped make our first Weaver Awards Celebration so special!

What does it really mean to “walk beside the work”? We’re proud to see the Community Foundation's, Director of Programs, Dave Koser sharing his perspective with the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO)!

In this piece for PANO, Dave reflects on how our values show up in grantmaking and why we continue working to put equity, belonging, and community voice at the center of what we do. It’s a reminder that meaningful community change isn’t something we create for people. It happens when we listen, build trust, invite people to the table, and support the organizations and communities closest to the work.
