LSSA This is the official page for Lancaster Select Soccer Association (LSSA).

The goal of LSSA is to enhance the knowledge of the player, coach and parent in the game of soccer. We strive to create an environment that will provide each player with a valuable learning experience, an opportunity to improve their soccer skills, entry into higher levels of soccer and a chance to be part of a quality program. We believe in development of the player and the team by teaching the v

alues of good sportsmanship and teamwork. Our coaches seek to be mentors to our youth by building character and developing skills that will help the child both on and off the pitch:

- Emotional Discipline – how to conduct oneself in a competitive environment
- Corporate Association – teamwork
- Work Ethic – physical and mental hard work
- Personal Responsibility – punctuality and organizing one’s time
- Leadership – learning to give and receive instructions
- Sportsmanship – respect for others

Winning is the byproduct of excellent coaching, training and players who learn to execute techniques and tactics on the playing field.

We are forever grateful. ❤️🤍💙

The 2016 Navy girls wrapped up their season a couple weekends ago at the Junior Cup, where they faced some very tough competition after being placed in the highest level bracket of U11 teams. That’s no small challenge for this true U10 group, but these girls stepped up and battled hard every single game.

Their effort, determination, and willingness to compete against older and experienced teams made everyone proud. This season brought so much growth and valuable experience, and we can’t wait to continue watching this team develop and shine next season!

The 2014 Navy girls wrapped up their 9v9 regular season and then took the next step by playing three 11v11 introductory games — and what a way to finish! The girls took home a huge 5-0 win at home last night followed by pizza on the rainy field to close out the spring season.

This team has worked incredibly hard all spring and has shown so much growth along the way. From adjusting to the new format to continuing to build chemistry and confidence, these girls made this season one to remember. We can’t wait to keep watching them grow and compete next season!

The Boys U13 Smith team wrapped up another successful season this weekend at the OCL Tournament.

On Saturday, the boys earned two strong victories, defeating Canal Wi******er SC 3–0 and Whetstone Park Rangers Hoops 6–1. The biggest test came on Sunday against fellow undefeated opponent Dublin United SC Chaos.

Our boys came out firing, scoring unanswered goals in the first 13 minutes and heading into halftime with a 2–0 lead. After the break, Dublin brought renewed energy and found the net in the 36th minute. The match remained intense until the final 2½ minutes, when the Carolina Blue boys sealed the win with two late goals to secure a 4–1 victory.

Great job, boys, on an outstanding tournament win!

The 2018 boys came into the second day of their OCL Tournament with the same strong momentum they started with on the first day.

They battled all weekend long, finishing undefeated through regulation play — including an intense championship match that ended in a 3-3 draw before being decided in a tiebreaking shootout. While the final result didn’t go our way, this team showed incredible grit, hustle, and determination every step of the tournament.

We could not be prouder of the growth these boys displayed all weekend. The team will finish up their regular season with two more games this weekend, and we’re excited to keep watching this group grow and compete together.
