🌪️ FROM COACH HALL:

Mikey has just about every tool you could ask for as a coach. Last season, we really started to see him come into his own. He found a home in center field, became much more comfortable at the plate, and showed flashes of the type of player he can become.

Now entering Year #2 with Coach Hall, I expect another significant jump in Mikey’s development. There’s tremendous value in already having a year together under our belts. Mikey knows what I expect, understands how we operate, and can enter this season with a lot more confidence.

For his 14U season, we're expecting Mikey to make an impact in the outfield, at the plate, and especially on the basepaths. His athleticism gives us a lot of options defensively, and as his confidence continues to grow, so will his game.

One of the best things about Mikey’s journey is the support behind him. His parents, Michael Sr. and Kelly Buckman, are highly involved and unquestionably two of his biggest fans. Having that kind of support system matters.

And Mikey already gave us his personal target for this season:

💣 HIT THAT FIRST HOME RUN.

Now we know what we're waiting for. And when #13 finally gets one over the fence, something tells me the Cyclones dugout is going to lose its mind. 😂🌪️

We're excited to see what #13 does this year. The athletic ability is there. The experience is growing.

Now it's time to put it all together.

72 PLAYERS. 7 TEAMS. ONE CYCLONES FAMILY. 🌪️⚾🥎

Looking back at our Signing Day & Pool Party, one of the best parts wasn't the signing table, the uniforms, or even the pool.

It was looking around and seeing our players, parents, siblings, coaches, grandparents, and families all together.

That's what we're building.

Not very long ago, the Central Ohio Cyclones consisted of 3 teams. Today, we're preparing for a season with 7 Central Ohio Cyclones Baseball & Lady Cyclones Softball teams and 72 players representing our Organization.

That's something I'm incredibly proud of, but even more exciting is knowing we're nowhere close to finished.

Growth is great, but the number of teams has never been the ultimate goal. The goal is to build a program that players want to be part of, coaches are proud to represent, and families feel connected to.

That's why nights like Signing Day matter.

Kids from different teams get to know each other. Parents meet other parents. Younger players see the older Cyclones. Siblings are running around together. Coaches get an opportunity to spend time together away from a baseball field.

For a night, it isn't 7 separate teams.

It's ONE Organization.

I can't thank our coaches and families enough for the commitment they've made and the trust they've placed in what we're building.

I also want to give a special thank you to Valley View Pool and their entire staff for hosting our Cyclones family. They gave us a great place to bring everyone together and provided an awesome group of lifeguards who took great care of our players, siblings, and families throughout the evening. We sincerely appreciate everyone at Valley View for helping make the night possible!

And I can't say enough about Matt Smith and Smiths Sports Shot. 📸🎥

Matt absolutely knocked it out of the park capturing the night. The pictures, candid moments, signing photos, family shots, videos — all of it gave us something we'll be able to look back on for years.

We're extremely excited to have Matt and Smiths Sports Shot as part of the Cyclones Organization moving forward. Between team photography, action shots, video, player highlights, recruiting content for our older athletes, social media, and helping us continue building the Cyclones brand, I think this relationship is going to be an incredible resource for our players and families.

We have a tremendous amount we still want to accomplish. We're going to continue improving our fields, our indoor facility, our player-development opportunities, and the overall experience of being a Cyclone.

Going from 3 teams to 7 is exciting.

Having 72 Cyclones Baseball & Softball players representing this Organization is exciting.

Seeing all of their families together is even better.

But knowing where this program is headed?

That's the part I'm most excited about.

We're thankful for where we've been.
We're proud of where we are.
And we're incredibly excited about where we're going.

The future isn't just bright.

🌪️⚾🥎 CYCLONES SIGNING DAY IS ALMOST HERE! 🥎⚾🌪️

We could not be more excited for Saturday night’s 2026–2027 Central Ohio Cyclones Baseball & Lady Cyclones Softball Signing Day & Pool Party!

This is one of those nights that reminds us what this organization is really about.

We’re excited to welcome back so many of the families and players who have helped build the Cyclones, and we’re just as excited to officially welcome all of the NEW players and families joining our Cyclones family this season!

From 11U through 15U Baseball and our 12U Lady Cyclones Softball team, Saturday night brings the entire organization together.

Players get to sign.

Parents get to meet each other.

Teams start building relationships.

Coaches get to connect.

And we get the opportunity to welcome everyone together and officially kick off another season of Cyclones Baseball & Softball!

We’ve got a lot planned for 2026–2027, and Saturday night is where it starts.
