Thank you Charles Yantis and Thomas Owen for helping to get today's delivery to the Golisano Children’s at UK . Thank you to the Child Life department for always taking the time to meet us on David's birthday each year. Today was a Monday, but they ensure that we can deliver even in a weekend.

As we prepare for today's hospital delivery, I want to take a moment to celebrate the reason behind it. Today David would be 30. I never saw him smile. I never heard him laugh. For years I cried and carried so much anger that I could barely function. My wise momma told me that my tears were putting out David's candle. Today I hope his candle burns so bright that it sets heaven on fire. I hope he feels every smile from every child that receives a toy or blanket in his honor. Those smiles are David's smiles now as his life and legacy lives on through them. Forever loved. Forever missed. Happy heavenly birthday, my angel.

Tomorrow marks our 13th annual delivery to the Golisano Children’s at UK , our 4th annual delivery as a nonprofit. It also marks David's 30th birthday. These deliveries serve as an honorary birthday gift for him. Everyone remember to wear your David's Legacy shirts to honor his memory.

We're set up at the Stanford Walmart today with more homemade goodies than we know what to do with. Stop by, grab a favorite, and make a donation. All proceeds will provide Christmas to the children at Golisano Children’s at UK . Well be here all day or until the goodies run out!
