Another successful Fall Family Festival last week! Thanks to our sponsors - Southcoast Health, Hannaford Supermarkets, Blount Soup Store, Water Filtration Services, Eastern Ice Co, Lakeville Disposal Services, Berkley Beer Company, Gold Medal Bakery and Rich O'Reilly! Fall Family Festival is just over a week away! New this year are airbrush tattoos and a Mad Science Show at 1pm! Our food prices are affordable and remain unchanged for the past 4 years! New menu items include bacon cheeseburgers, cheese pizza and grilled cheese with bacon along with giant cookies and rice krispies treats! 😋

Lakeville Lions back at the annual Camp Jack (Assonet) summer visit along with Fall River, Norton, Raynham, Attleboro and SE Mass Paws of Comfort Lions clubs! Lions District 33S Govenor Steve Garran (third from left) also made the trip all the way from Eastham! We are a proud supporter of Camp Jack where kids with diabetes benefit from hands-on learning experiences in diabetes management within a fun and welcoming environment.

Busy night last Thursday as we finish another Lion year and break for the summer! We inducted new member Derek Wedge, Lion of the Year was awarded to Lion Joe Jacques for his efforts coordinating the golf tournament (our largest fundraiser) and we installed the new Board of Directors with Lion Alanna Thompson as our first female President! We were honored to award the Lions Clubs International Melvin Jones Fellowship award to Lion Rich LaCamera (L) at our meeting last week! The award was presented by Lion Gordon Goodfellow (R). It is the highest form of recognition in Lions Clubs International and is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to humanitarian service. Rich was a member of the Lakeville Lions Club for over 30 years and also served his community as a Library Trustee, member of the Finance Committee, Select Board, and multiple building committees. We thank Rich for his many years of dedicated service!
