As our nation proudly celebrates its 250th Anniversary of Independence, the Lakeland Police Foundation extends our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have served and those who continue to serve in defense of our freedoms.

We also honor and thank our retired and active public safety professionals—both sworn and civilian—whose unwavering dedication and sacrifice help protect and strengthen communities across this great nation each and every day.

On this historic Independence Day, we proudly salute all who wear the uniform in service to others. May we never forget that the freedoms we cherish and the safety we enjoy are preserved through your courage, commitment, and sacrifice.

From all of us at the Lakeland Police Foundation, may God bless our service members, first responders, and their families, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

The Lakeland Police Foundation congratulates the Lakeland Police Explorer Program for placing 3rd Overall out 37 teams in the State Competition in Tampa, Florida this past week.

The guidance and mentorship provided by our sworn and civilian agency Advisors is incredible and was certainly on display this last week.

We are extremely proud of these young men and women for their commitment to learning and to applying what they have learned in competition. Each one of these youth are interested in a career in law enforcement and based on their abilities displayed in competition, we are truly looking at our future leaders.

We had the privilege of hosting a special Thank You Breakfast to recognize the businesses and community partners who sponsored the 2026 Fallen Heroes Memorial 5K.

As a token of our appreciation, each sponsor received a commemorative gift featuring the 10th Anniversary Fallen Heroes Memorial 5K race medals beautifully displayed in a custom frame. Their support helped make this milestone event a success while honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A special thank you to Chick-fil-A and Uncle Nick's Italian Deli for providing a delicious breakfast for our guests.
