"We need more people like you" Boyd Forest told me over his morning coffee. That spontaneous conversation 5 years ago led me down the path to leading this organization. He held these conversations with such ease, that its not hard to see why he was so influential in the lives of so many Lake Mills youth. His passing his week serves as a reminder that we can all do more. "If you want something done, give it to a busy person"
Like so many youth focused organizations in Lake Mills, Boyd had is impact on the Lake Mills Optimists. We recently had the privilege of reviewing our Club's archived meeting minutes from his time of service. He was youth advocate then and he was a youth advocate until the end. He leaves behind an inspirational legacy of service. Thank you Boyd, for being a such a positive role model
