For more than 21 years, Mission for Orphans has been dedicated to rescuing and supporting street children and orphans across India through grassroots efforts. We believe that even the greatest challenges can be overcome when compassionate people come together for a noble cause.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children who face poverty, abandonment, abuse, trafficking, and homelessness. Every child deserves safety, dignity, education, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

According to world reports, about 65.5 million people - roughly 5.4% of the total population were living in slums across urban areas in India. The distribution is uneven across different states. Maharashtra has the largest slum population with over 11.8 million people, followed by Andhra Pradesh (10.2 million), West Bengal (6.4 million), and Uttar Pradesh (6.2 million).

In India, slums are often characterized by severe overcrowding, informal settlements, lack of durable housing, unhealthy living conditions, limited access to nutritious food, clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and proper infrastructure. Children living in slum communities are especially vulnerable to malnutrition, disease, sometimes trafficking. Poverty remains one of the major factors affecting slum residents and limiting their opportunities for a better future.

Our organization in India works to help when funds are available. We support children and their families by providing care, education, and Feeding programs. We also work to assist women and children, while helping families move toward a safer and healthier life.

Abandonment is a very distinct affliction that strikes children when poverty and disease prevail.
Abandoned children are the most helpless and most frequent victims of violence, disease, malnutrition and death. Without the support from their families, these children are exposed to the frightening dangers of abduction and sexual exploitation.
Shockingly, there are over 140 million homeless or abandoned children in the world today a majority of them are orphans.
Alone, with no one to raise them, abandoned children must resort to eating any scraps available and wandering the streets.
Emotionally and physically scarred, the future for these orphans is a bleak reminder of lost hope. Their future often seems fille with hopeless.
Abandoned Children's Fund has not forgotten these helpless children and orphans.

We are in our 22 year helping orphans, children from the slums, and poverty villages! We have assisted them with education, medical assistance, feeding programs, and provided homes. Many now have a safe sanctuary, with a better future, feeling loved, safe, laughter and hope for their lives.

Though slum children may not have good clothes, healthy food, or a safe home, they still find joy in being together. Most beautifully, even a small act of love and care can bring a big smile to their face!❤☺☺
