UPDATE from Doug Holliday!‼️
Things have not been this hard in Haiti since I made my first trip 20 years ago. We’ve not been able to host any mission teams since 2020 because of political instability and the covid pandemic, so without teams regularly traveling to Haiti, support has dwindled to less than half of what we had coming in four years ago. In spite of this God continues to move!! We now have 35 churches that have been planted in Haiti, PLUS four Haitian churches in Chile and one in the Dominican Republic. 🙌🏼 People are being reached and lives are being changed by the power of the Gospel. It’s as if God is multiplying the fish and loaves, allowing us to continue to have impact in the midst of great hardship. God is so faithful! ❤️
Each December, we send a container full of Hope Boxes filled with Christmas goodies for all the children associated with ODH. For many years, Feeding Children Everywhere was able to provide us with 12-15 skids of rice and beans to send with our Christmas shipment. They are no longer able to do this amount and are only able to do 1-2 skids, so we must raise funds to purchase rice for the container to provide for our orphanage and school feeding programs. Our goal this year is to raise $5000 to send 10,000 pounds of rice. A special gift of $50 will help us purchase 100 pounds of rice, $250 will help us purchase 500 pounds of rice.
In addition to purchasing rice, we need to purchase clothes 👕 & shoes 👟 for the ever growing children at our orphanage. Last year, we spent an average of $50 per child for dresses, pants, shirts, underwear, socks and shoes for each child.
