Meet Ethan Atwood, Volunteer Director at Double H Ranch! Ethan has been a member of the team for two years, recruiting, training, and supporting the incredible volunteers who help bring camp to life.

When asked what he loves most about working at the Ranch, Ethan says it’s the people. “From students to seasoned professionals, there’s a shared sense of purpose that’s incredibly inspiring. Every session brings new stories and connections — all part of something bigger.”

His favorite place at camp? A hidden, moss-covered outcropping along the trail behind archery — “the kind of place you might run into a hobbit.”

What you might not know, says Ethan, is that every detail at Double H is intentional — from name tags to email timing — all to create a meaningful experience for every camper, family, and volunteer.

Camp wouldn’t be possible without the care, compassion, and expertise of our nurses. They’re the reason campers can jump into all the fun—whether it’s swimming, climbing the ropes course, or campfire nights—knowing they’re supported every step of the way. From daily medications to dance parties and talent show cheers, our nurses help make camp both safe and full of joy.
