Discovering Pathways has been busy out in our community!

We’ve been practicing our bowling skills—some for fun and others as they prepare for Special Olympics. We even celebrated some new personal bests this past week!

We also enjoyed a fun-filled visit to the East Troy Community Center, where we shared lunch, drew, made crafts and soap, played games that challenged our patience and technique, and shared some of our own talents through handmade candles, blankets, dog toys, and other creations.

Most importantly, we exchanged lots of laughs, built new skills, connected with others, and made some wonderful new memories along the way.

Today at Discovering Pathways, we put our drawing and clay-making skills to work! We learned new techniques, tried something creative, and had plenty of opportunities to let our imaginations shine.

🎡🎟️ Fair food, rides, shopping, and plenty of laughs!

This week, Discovering Pathways headed to the Walworth County Fair, and we had such a great time taking in everything the fair has to offer!

We explored the local craft vendors (and did a little shopping, of course! 😉), enjoyed some delicious fair food, braved the rides, and even got to meet one of our favorite TMJ4 meteorologists! There were lots of laughs, new experiences, and memories made along the way.

And while we were busy enjoying the fair, our caregivers got some time for themselves, too. Some were able to enjoy the fair on their own, while others took advantage of a little peaceful and restful time at home.

That’s what Discovering Pathways is all about. We provide meaningful experiences for the individuals we serve while also giving caregivers valuable time to recharge, relax, or simply enjoy time on their own. Supporting caregivers is just as important to us as creating opportunities for connection, independence, and fun.

It was a great day for everyone—and another Discovering Pathways adventure in the books! 🎠🌭🎡

🌧️🌭 A little rain wasn’t going to stop us—or some hungry customers! 🍔

Today, Discovering Pathways had the opportunity to work the grill at Hansen’s IGA in Elkhorn, serving up brats, burgers, hot dogs, plenty of smiles, and thankfully… no soggy buns! 😄

A huge THANK YOU to Hansen’s IGA for their generous donation and for supporting what we do. And an extra-special thank you to our amazing volunteers: Trevor, Kristen, Donna, Mike, Bobbie, Mike, Corbin, Ryan, and Danielle. You toughed it out through the rain, kept the grill going, and made sure plenty of bellies were full!

Volunteers truly help make Discovering Pathways possible. Giving back to our community is a big part of who we are, and when people give their time and talents to support us, it allows us to continue turning around and giving back through the work we do. That circle of generosity is pretty special. 💙

To our volunteers—your giving hearts really shined today (even when the sun didn’t ☔). We appreciate you more than you know, and we had so much fun doing it together!

Today Discovering Pathways had another bowling adventure. We had some personal bests today and lots of encouragement from one another!

Giving back to our community is one of our core values at Discovering Pathways! On Sunday, we spent time volunteering through our Adopt-a-Highway commitment, helping clean up and care for our community. We believe volunteering is an important way to give back, take pride in our community, and make a difference together. Special thanks to Ryan, Danielle, and Bobbie for all the hard work.

🎡 Discovering Pathways had a fantastic afternoon at the Lake Geneva Venetian Festival!

We enjoyed riding the rides, putting our skills to work at the games and winning some prizes, indulging in a few fair food favorites, and visiting with local craft vendors.

It was a beautiful day filled with fun, laughter, community connection, and new experiences. Best of all, while our participants enjoyed an afternoon out in the community, their caregivers received a much-needed Sunday afternoon break.

🏊 Today at Discovering Pathways, we’re putting our swimming skills back into practice!

Staying active through movement is a great way to support both a healthy mind and body—and it’s even better when we can have fun while doing it!

Today also gives us another opportunity to socialize, build connections, and be active members of our community.

We’re looking forward to a fun and active time together. We hope to see you there! 💙
