Gold Rush Cure Foundation (GRCF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping children battling cancer. GRCF commits itself to advocating locally and nationally for children fighting cancer, and directly support and encourage childhood cancer families via our mentorship and "Pot Of Gold" programs. Through our partnership with various Children’s Hospital teams and direct referrals, we connect with

families in need. We are funded entirely from donations, grants, and fundraising activities - with every donation goes to a child in need, and every donation is both necessary and appreciated!

If you’re new here, we’d love to introduce you to the heart behind Gold Rush Cure Foundation:

Our founders, Sandy and Gary Barker. đź’›

Gold Rush Cure Foundation was founded in memory of their son, Christian, and from the very beginning, Sandy and Gary have poured their hearts into creating something that brings hope, encouragement, and meaningful support to children fighting cancer and the families walking alongside them.

Sandy serves as President of Gold Rush Cure Foundation and has spent years advocating for children with cancer, including making more than 35 trips to Washington, D.C. to help push for better, less-toxic treatments.

Gary serves as Vice President and Chair of the Board, helping guide the mission and growth of the organization alongside Sandy.

Together, they have helped turn a deeply personal experience into a nationwide community of volunteers, supporters, and families united by one goal: bringing joy and support to kids when they need it most.

We’re so grateful for the heart, dedication, and love they continue to pour into this mission every day.

There’s nothing quite like seeing the joy a Pot of Gold can bring. 💛

Nivea and her sister, Shireen, could not have been more excited or grateful for their gifts. Seeing her smile and giving her something to look forward to is exactly why we do what we do.

Nivea has been having a tough time with treatment side effects and simply hasn’t been feeling her best. After a year of homeschooling following her diagnosis, she’s getting ready to head back to school this fall, and she chose clothes and shoes to help her feel ready for this exciting new chapter!

We couldn’t pick just one photo of this sweet Kansas City girl because every single smile was too good not to share. 💛

After delivering her Pot of Gold, one of our volunteers shared, “These gifts made a little girl so happy!!! Thank you to your wonderful organization.”

These big smiles are exactly why we do what we do. At Gold Rush Cure Foundation, our mission is to encourage children facing childhood cancer, remind them how incredibly special they are, and bring a little extra joy into their lives when they need it most.

And judging by these smiles, we’d say this Pot of Gold did just that.
