Exercise isn’t just for your body—it’s also great for your brain!

There is growing evidence that exercise affects the brain through several pathways simultaneously. A 2026 review found that exercise can increase BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), promote synaptic plasticity, regulate serotonin/dopamine/norepinephrine systems, reduce inflammation, influence the HPA stress system, and improve emotion regulation and cognitive function.

I challenge you to start, or keep, exercising regularly. Your brain and your body will thank you! 🧠💪

Steven is a singer, songwriter, worship leader, Counselor and Pastor of Recovery at South Shores Church in Dana Point, California. With a heart for people who are hurting, Steven has spent years using music and ministry to share the hope, freedom, and restoration he has found in Jesus. Whether leading worship, sharing his own songs, or telling his story, his message is simple: no one is too far gone, and our past doesn’t get the final word—Jesus does. Doors open at 6:50 PM this Friday at The Crossing in Costa Mesa—all are welcome!

To my Lifelines & Crossing Family
God has Blessed me to be part of an amazing Ministry for the past 24 years. I have witnessed Thousands of Lives Changed , people getting Clean and Sober & Turning their Lives over to Christ. I’ve been fortunate to be part of an incredible Team of Volunteers. I’ve had the privilege of Sharing my experiences, my Truth over the years. This Friday It will be the last time that I get to share my story, because I’ll be moving to Alabama shortly after.
It would be Great to see some that I haven’t seen in a while.
What a Great Ministry & A Great Church.
