🏫 Our PTA representatives shared that a recent silent auction raised over $5,000! They also have a parent night coming up.
💰 La Mirada Community Foundation shared the success of their recent financial planning class and plans to offer it again this spring!
💚 Straight Talk Counseling is preparing to launch a new series of eight FREE counseling sessions, with reduced-cost sessions afterward. They're also gathering interest for a holiday grief and support group. Dates to be announced.
❤️ AND A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU FROM LOVE LA MIRADA!
We also had the opportunity to reflect on our recent Love La Mirada Annual Day of Service, and I cannot express enough gratitude for every organization, volunteer, project leader, sponsor, and community member who showed up and gave their time, energy, hard work, and HEART to serve our city.
The stories coming out of that day have been so heartwarming. Seniors feeling loved and cared for, neighbors connecting, young people serving alongside older generations, and volunteers making a difference in ways that go far beyond the projects themselves.
This is what we love about La Mirada. So many different organizations, each doing their own wonderful work, but all sharing a common heart for our community.
Thank you to every representative who has been part of the Coordinating Council this year. It's been a pleasure connecting, collaborating, and supporting one another.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!
We'll see you in 2027! (But probably out serving the community between now and then 😄) ❤️
