We’re launching Disciplers! 🌱

Disciplers is a four-week, hands-on discipleship training designed to help followers of Jesus grow as disciple makers who make disciples.

Rather than simply learning about disciple making, we’ll begin putting simple, reproducible habits into practice through prayer, intentional conversations, Scripture, and obedience.

Our first group begins:

Saturday, September 5
1:00–2:30 PM Pacific Time
Online via Zoom

Please plan to attend all four sessions, since each week builds on the one before it.

No previous disciple-making experience is needed, and you’re welcome to invite someone to join you.

God never intended for us to walk through life alone. We need people who will celebrate with us, pray with us, encourage us, and remind us of God's faithfulness when life gets difficult.

Numbers 6:24-26
"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."

The blessing given to God's people is a beautiful reminder of what we can speak over one another: that God would bless and keep us, be gracious toward us, turn His face toward us, and give us peace. Being in Christian community gives us opportunities to encourage one another with these truths and to carry one another through every season.

At Orchard Home Ministries, community is a big part of how we grow. Through our home branches, Bible in a Year group, podcast, worship gatherings, and conversations throughout the week, we seek to build relationships where people can grow in Christ together.

Who has been an encouragement to you in your faith? And who could you encourage with the blessing of Numbers 6 this week?

As we continue our Intimacy Before Ministry series, we see Jesus intentionally making time to be alone with the Father before stepping into the work ahead of Him.

Mark 1:35-38
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”

Jesus had been surrounded by people, teaching, healing, and ministering to their needs. Yet He still made space to withdraw, pray, and seek the Father. When His disciples came looking for Him, He already knew where He needed to go next.

Ministry can easily become busy, even when we're doing good things. Jesus shows us the importance of stepping away from the demands around us and spending time with God so that our direction comes from Him.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we believe our ministry should flow from our relationship with Christ. Through our home branches, Bible in a Year group, podcast, and fellowship throughout the week, we encourage one another to grow deeper in our walk with God and follow where He leads.

Where can you make more intentional space to spend time with God this week? And how can you share this story with someone who needs that reminder?

Something NEW is growing at Orchard Home Ministries!

NOURISH is a new Branch for anyone who wants to become healthier, stronger, and more intentional about caring for the body God has given them.

Our first meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2nd, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We'll gather together for Scripture, prayer, worship, discussion, and practical conversation about health and wellness. NOURISH will also have a WhatsApp group chat where we'll stay connected throughout the week, encourage one another, share updates, celebrate victories, and support each other along the way.

And NOURISH is not just a weight-loss group. Some may want to lose weight, while others may want to eat better, move more, have more energy, or simply develop healthier habits. Wherever you're starting from, there's a place for you.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we believe growth happens best in community. NOURISH is an opportunity to pursue healthier lives while growing together in faith.

If you've been thinking about joining us, tomorrow is a great time to start. Visit our website, comment below, or send us a DM to learn more and get connected.

You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to want to grow.

What is one area of your health you'd like to grow in? And who could you invite to take this step with you?

One of the greatest blessings of being part of a church family is knowing that you don't have to walk through life alone.

There are seasons of celebration, seasons of struggle, and seasons where life simply feels overwhelming. God designed His people to encourage one another, pray for one another, and walk alongside one another through it all.

Sometimes the most meaningful ministry is simply being present. A conversation, a prayer, a meal shared together, or a word of encouragement can have a lasting impact on someone's life.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we believe faith grows best in community. Through our branches, podcast, Bible in a Year group, and ongoing fellowship throughout the week, we seek to build relationships that help people stay rooted in Christ and connected to one another.

Our Intimacy Before Ministry series continues with Jesus' response when He is tempted to test God's faithfulness.

Matthew 4:5-7
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

Satan challenged Jesus to throw Himself from the temple, using Scripture to suggest that God would protect Him. Jesus refused to put the Father to the test. His trust in God did not require Him to demand proof of God's faithfulness.

Our walk with God requires that same kind of trust. We can know God's promises without trying to manipulate circumstances or demand that He prove Himself to us. Before we step into ministry, we need to learn what it means to surrender our plans, trust God's character, and follow His direction.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we believe ministry should flow from a genuine walk with Christ. Through our home branches, Bible in a Year group, podcast, and community throughout the week, we encourage one another to seek God first and allow our service to grow out of that relationship.

Where have you seen God's faithfulness lately?

It's easy to focus on what we're still waiting for while overlooking the ways God has already been at work. Sometimes His faithfulness shows up in answered prayers. Other times, it appears in daily provision, unexpected encouragement, open doors, or the strength to make it through a difficult season.

Looking back helps us remember that God has been present every step of the way. The same God who was faithful yesterday remains faithful today and tomorrow.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we love hearing stories of God's faithfulness. Through our branches, podcast, Bible in a Year group, and ongoing community throughout the week, we encourage one another by sharing what God is doing in our lives and reminding each other of His promises.

As we continue our Intimacy Before Ministry series, we are reminded that walking closely with God means learning to trust Him even when we are tested.

Matthew 4:1-4
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Jesus was led into the wilderness and faced temptation after a long period of fasting. When He was hungry, Satan challenged Him to turn stones into bread. Jesus responded by pointing back to God's Word and showing that physical needs do not take priority over dependence on God.

Before Jesus began His public ministry, there was a season of preparation, obedience, and dependence on the Father. His example reminds us that our relationship with God must come before what we do for God. Ministry flows from intimacy, not the other way around.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we want to encourage people to build that foundation through Scripture, prayer, community, and discipleship. Through our home branches, Bible in a Year group, podcast, and fellowship throughout the week, we seek to help one another grow deeper in our walk with Christ.

As we begin our new series, Intimacy Before Ministry, we start with the foundation of our relationship with God. Before we can faithfully serve others, we must first love the One who has called us.

Deuteronomy 6:4-5
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

Every act of ministry flows from our relationship with God. Jesus did not call us to simply stay busy doing good things. He calls us to know Him, love Him, and walk closely with Him. When our hearts are fully devoted to the Lord, our service becomes an overflow of His love rather than an obligation or performance.

This passage reminds us that God desires our whole hearts. Loving Him with all our heart, soul, and strength is not just the greatest commandment. It is the foundation for everything else He calls us to do. Intimacy with God always comes before ministry for God.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we believe healthy ministry begins with a healthy relationship with Christ. Through our home branches, Bible in a Year group, podcast, and community throughout the week, we seek to help one another grow deeper in our walk with God so that our lives naturally bear fruit for His Kingdom.

Faith often grows in the moments where we choose to step forward, even when we don’t have everything figured out.

It can look like starting a conversation, praying for someone, trusting God with a decision, or simply taking the next step He’s placing in front of you.

Growth doesn’t usually happen all at once. It happens one step at a time.

At Orchard Home Ministries, we encourage one another to take those steps together through Scripture, community, and consistent encouragement throughout the week.

If you’re looking for a place to grow in your faith, visit our website, comment below, or send us a DM to get connected.

What is one step of faith you can take this week? And how can you share that step or encourage someone else to take one?
