Krum Band Boosters The official page of the Krum ISD Band Boosters. The Krum Middle School and High School Bands are supported by the Krum Bobcat Band Booster Club.

With nearly 300 students in grades 6-12 band, we financially support our students by paying for clinicians, transportation, equipment, and various other thing throughout the year. Additionally, the Band Boosters offer college scholarships to graduating students. Contributions from individuals throughout the community and beyond, result in the largest source of outside financial support for our band program.

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean things slow down around here! We are excited to share some huge news…

The Krum High School Band has officially advanced to the State Semi-Finals in the TMEA Honor Band competition! 🎶💙🤍

This is an incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of the dedication, talent, and countless hours our students, directors, and families pour into this program year-round.

We are so proud of every student and director who helped make this possible. Summer may be here, but excellence doesn’t take a season off.

Message from Mr Huff this morning! We are so excited about this announcement!

Jack Wilkinson (our student teacher from last fall) has been hired as the assistant Director position for Percussion!

Jack Wilkinson brings a deep passion for percussion education and a wide range of experience teaching students from 6th-12th grade. His students have had success on the region and state level.

A proud graduate of the University of North Texas, Jack Wilkinson performed with many of UNT’s premier ensembles, including the Green Brigade Drumline, Percussion Ensembles, Steel Pan, Gamelan, and Wind Orchestra—studying under some world class educators such as Mark Ford, Paul & Sandi Rennick, Dave Hall, Stockton Helbing. Jack Wilkinson has also been involved in DCI and WGI as both a performer and instructor, he has played snare drum for The Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps and Vigilantes Indoor Percussion. He is currently on staff with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.

When he’s not in the band hall, you might find him hunting, hiking, playing chess, or training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Apparently today is National Band Directors Day… 🤔🎶

Not that we needed a calendar reminder because trust me — we celebrate ours all year long! Between the long hours, endless rehearsals, pep talks, problem solving, bus loading, music teaching, life coaching, and somehow keeping hundreds of band kids (and band parents 😅) moving in the same direction… they deserve way more than just ONE day.

So today we’ll officially celebrate our fearless leaders — although let’s be honest, they probably just want everyone to know their learn their music, stop talking, and play in tune. 😂

Thank you for all you do, for caring about our kids like they’re your own, and for building something truly special. Happy National Band Directors Day! 💙🎺🥁
