🇺🇸 Today, Lone Star Heroes Outdoors honors the men and women who answer the call.

To our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and dispatchers, thank you for the long shifts, missed holidays, and sacrifices that often go unseen. Behind every call is a person choosing to help someone through what may be the hardest day of their life.

Our mission includes you. We’re proud to give first responders opportunities to get outdoors, build friendships, and take a well deserved break with people who understand service.

To you and the families who stand beside you, thank you. Happy National First Responders Day! 💙❤️🤍

The recent Rotary Dove Hunt was a fantastic success, both in terms of enjoyment and its positive impact on our community. This year’s event was a scholarship dove hunt, raising an impressive $1,606 for our inaugural round of scholarships. We were also thrilled to secure donated spots for Lone Star Heroes Outdoors, allowing deserving veterans to join us for a memorable day in the field.

As the sun rose, excitement filled the air, and participants eagerly prepared for the hunt. Throughout the morning, camaraderie blossomed as everyone shared stories and strategies. After the initial hunt, we transitioned to clay shooting for some friendly competition during the heat of the day, all while enjoying the sounds of football games in the background.

Lunch provided a much-needed respite, where we gathered for a hearty meal that truly hit the spot. This time together allowed us to reflect on the day’s experiences and strengthen our bonds with our comrades in arms. The shared laughter and enthusiasm highlighted the spirit of unity this event fosters.

We are grateful for the support that made this event possible and proud to contribute to a program that honors our veterans while investing in the future through scholarships. The success of this hunt not only provided a great day of sport but also reinforced our commitment to supporting both our veterans and the next generation. We look forward to future events that continue to celebrate and uplift our community.

Ducktastic wanted the LSH kids to do a little taste testing, so we brought in our toughest food critics. Their qualifications include refusing dinner, asking for snacks five minutes later, and noticing when you buy the wrong brand of chicken nuggets.

No culinary degrees, no filters, and absolutely no concern for anyone’s feelings. Just kids taking their snack duties very seriously.

Thanks, Ducktastic, for trusting the next generation of Lone Star Heroes with this important assignment. Brave decision. Very brave.
