We sadly said goodbye to our Tony the Tiger this week 💔
Tony was saved at auction 8 years ago with an old tendon injury and lived out his days being adored and spoiled by everyone who met him. He was adopted as a companion twice, and both times he bit his adopters and was returned. We always laughed and said he just wanted to come back home. Dr L saw him this week due to recent lameness and he had developed severe navicular arthritis in both front legs. Coupled with the old tendon injury this was not something we could overcome for him and we made the decision to lay our boy to rest of a good day.
I wasn’t prepared or really expecting those results and this was a hard one for me as we have loved him for a very long time. But my sweet friend didn’t deserve to live in pain and I know I will see him whole and happy on the other side. Tony “felt” different to me than other horses, and maybe some will understand that lol. His muzzle especially. He was just very special and his personality was a 10/10. The kind that will just stand beside you all long as you are willing to stand there. You never had to try to catch Tony, he would catch you first 🥹.
Rest pain free my sweet boy, I’ll look for you on the other side 💔.
