Today, I had the opportunity to attend the Hunger Free Mississippi Conference on behalf of SheCor Cares. Our mission is committed to ensuring that women, children, and the elderly have access to the resources, support, and information they need to thrive. 🫂

In the current state of our nation and economy, conversations and collaborations like these are more important than ever. Communities need not only access to vital services, but also awareness, advocacy, and support systems that empower them to navigate challenging times. 🙏🙏

Being in spaces dedicated to creating real solutions and uplifting people gives me a renewed sense of purpose and passion. I truly get energized by work like this, because every effort made today has the potential to impact lives for the better tomorrow. 🌎

SheCor Cares remains committed to serving, connecting, and advocating for those who need it most.

The Capital Club is such a beautiful space. Each time I'm there, I enjoy the delicious food and the elegant scenery. Oh yea, it's a great place to take pics as well. 📸🤳

Septima Clark understood something powerful: education is liberation.

She built citizenship schools that empowered Black communities to read, vote, organize, and advocate for themselves politically and economically. Her work wasn’t just about literacy, it was about dignity, participation, and power.

She knew that education is a tool for health, governance, and self-determination.

Her legacy aligns deeply with BWHI Pillar III: Equitable Governance & Relationships, which affirms that equity requires participation, not permission. Systems work best when the people most impacted are informed, engaged, and at the decision-making table.

Septima Clark didn’t wait to be invited into power. She prepared communities to claim it.

And we continue that work, ensuring Black women are not just subjects of policy, but shapers of it.

Our Founder and Executive Director, Sherika Rimmer, rose early to give last minute donations in 2025. Attala County Nursing Home and The Willows of Kosciusko were given bed pads, adult diapers, masks, and disinfectant wipes for the flu and COVID season. We pray the residents are blessed by these tiny tokens of thought and care. 🙏🙏🌎✨️
