TODAY is the rescheduled event day! It’s a great day for flying! Come check out the FREE family fun!

Are you a local resident looking for an activity that is fun for all ages?

Then come visit Dare County Radio Control Flyers at their flying field for the Outer Banks Festival of Model Aviation beginning at 10AM on Saturday, June 13th, and try flying a radio control airplane with an instructor pilot at no cost.

Local resident participants will receive a free raffle ticket and could win one of three radio control planes with a combined value of over $1,476 being awarded.

Admission is at least one non-perishable food item per person and benefits the Beach Food Pantry.

A lunch of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and beverages is included with admission.

The club's flying field is located at 1521 Link Road in Manns Harbor, and is accessible through the entrance of the Outer Banks Gun Club.

The Beach Food Pantry is closed TODAY, Friday, June 12th, while we have some new windows installed. We’re working hard to keep our space bright and welcoming for our wonderful community!

If you have donations of bags or food products to drop off today, please feel free to leave them in the trailer located right near our front door. We truly appreciate your continued support and flexibility while we make these improvements.

We’ll be back to our regular schedule Monday, 6/15. Thank you for helping us ensure no one in our community goes hungry!

We are so grateful for the wonderful volunteers who joined us this week to help serve our neighbors. Your time and energy make such a meaningful difference in our community!

Did you know Outer Banks Presbyterian also offers a 24/7 Blessing Box? It’s located at their church and is filled with nonperishable items for anyone in need at anytime. You can learn more about their heart for service at https://outerbankspresbyterian.org/

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the hard work of these volunteers, we saw a lot of impact in just one shorter than usual week:

✨ 96 individuals supported
✨ 23 individuals who were new to the Pantry

The Lost Colony’s Dare Nights to be held June 4 & June 5, 2026
The Roanoke Island Historical Association (RIHA) is proud to announce that the popular Dare Nights for the 89th Season of The Lost Colony, will be held June 4th and June 5th, 2026. Sponsored by Midgett Insurance, Dare Nights, which historically have been performances that Outer Banks locals may attend for free, with donations to local food pantries. Make plans to arrive early to drop off donation items and receive your free tickets.

Residents from Dare, Tyrrell, Currituck, and Hyde Counties will receive free admission to Dare Nights with proof of ID. To reserve seats ahead of time for Dare Nights, you may contact the Box Office: [email protected].

“A couple of years ago, we moved all the Dare Night performances into the first two preview instead of spreading them out across June. The big crowds for the first two shows really makes the beginning of the season special. We hope everyone will join us for these special nights,”-Chuck Still, Executive Director.
