Although we realize we should be posting ways to get involved year 'round, it is always this time of year during the fall shoulder season we tend to all really consider what we have and how we can help those in need...This event is October 26th- 50% of the funds will be donated to help our friends in the wake of Dorian in Ocracoke...

OBX Brewtag, which will be held on October 26th, 2019 at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head, will donate 50% of all proceeds from this year’s event to Hurricane Dorian Relief efforts on H…

A very big THANK YOU to all the Outer Banks families who participated in the 2018 Outer Banks Giving for Good Giving Circle. The total raised this year was $2,550.00. After special presentations made by the kids and families and the votes thereafter by those families, we are proud to announce:
$784.62 going to the Outer Banks SPCA
$686.54 to Surfrider Foundation, Outer Banks Chapter
$588.46 to OBX GO FAR
AND
$490.38 to OBX Storm Soccer Club, Inc.

EDITED TO CHANGE DONATION DEADLINE...
Thank you to all the families who have contributed to the 2018 Outer Banks Giving for Good Giving Circle and all those who came out today to pitch and vote!!! The kids did an AMAZING job. For all those unable to come the following nonprofits were pitched, voted on and are receiving donations: SPCA (2 pitches!), Surfrider Foundation-OBX Chapter, GoFAR and OBX STORM. NOT TOO LATE TO DONATE! Anyone interested in contributing to the Giving for Good Giving Circle to help support these nonprofits and the OBCF can donate online till NOVEMBER 29th!

Join us in pooling our individual donations and giving to those nonprofits that we vote to support.. each nonprofit, as long as it receives just 1 vote, will get a donation! Thanksgiving for such a truly magnanimous, generous, giving community! Remember to pitch an organization to give us: WHO (the name And who started it?) WHAT (What does it do? who do they serve?) WHEN (How long ago was it started?) WHERE (is it located?) & WHY (why do you want to support it?)

Do you want to support Children at Play? Or Food for Thought? Or The Food Pantry? Or SPCA? Or some other local non-profit??
If so, please participate THIS SUNDAY at the Outer Banks Giving for Good Giving Circle. Our meeting will consist of family presentations- “pitching” the charity they want to help, then voting and then distributing the funds! Please donate online OR bring a check to the meeting. Meeting at 12:30 at the Outer Banks Brewing Station in the backyard of nice OR upstairs if inclement!

Sunday, NOVEMBER 18 at 12:30 at the Outer Banks Brewing Station is YOUR LAST CHANCE IN 2018 to join other local families in pitching YOUR favorite nonprofit organization and then voting to see how the funds are divided! (You can always donate to the Circle BUT to pitch/vote you must donate prior to/at this meeting!)
The Outer Banks Giving for Good Giving Circle is an outcrop under the umbrella of the Outer Banks Community Foundation. https://www.obcf.org/donate-now

**Please note** We changed the minimum requsted donation of $250 to make giving more affordable for more people! To be eligible to pitch a nonprofit of your choosing and have votin privileges you must donate (100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE) to the OBCF Giving for Good Giving Circle. Credit Card (online- web address above), Check (made to Outer Banks Community Foundation) or Cash!

$100=1 vote, $150=2 votes, $200=3 votes, $250=4 votes
$25 of your donation will go to the OBCF permanent charitable endowment, $25 will go to your family's Community Foundation membership and the rest will go to the total amount to be distributed among the organizations voted upon!

****There is no minimum or maximum age to be involved and it purpose to get the kids to express their thoughts on who need to be helped and why!
****Please have a pitch of at least a minute but no longer than 3-4 minutes ready to go!
