🎨 Stained Glass Watercolor Painting — let your creativity shine through color!

Color can be a beautiful way to share what we think and feel, even when words are hard to find. 💛💙💚 Our watercolor activity offers a chance to explore color, express ourselves, and enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something unique. The gentle flow of watercolor painting can also encourage relaxation, bring a sense of calm, and make space for a peaceful moment.

No artistic experience is necessary — Jimmy Hemphill will be there to encourage creativity with a splash of humor to keep your artistic energy flowing. Just bring yourself and enjoy an evening of creativity, friendship, and fun! ❤️

We had so much FUN on Tuesday night that it was impossible to capture every single moment! In fact, with so many random moments of joy, we might need to recruit a designated volunteer to be our roving photographer.

While it was tempting to edit the first few seconds of the video below, the sounds of laughter will make up for the shaky camera. Between a delicious Dinner, Birthday Celebrations, Team Trivia, a lively Balloon Toss, and Team Wheel of Fortune, our participants were fully engaged both physically and cognitively.

A special shoutout to "TABLE 1 " for hosting the first ever, unexpected "Kingwood Memory Cafe" Congress meeting! Barbara & Donna are still deciding what this means for us, but the votes are in, and our Wheel of Fortune rules have officially been rewritten once again!

We had a delightful Kingwood Memory Café Tuesday evening! Very colorful with scarves swooping around the tables. It seemed like everyone enjoyed dancing with them and singing along with the karaoke songs. What a fun exercise! 💃 And we had a record night of special occasions, including SIX birthdays (a father & daughter, a mother & son, plus two more lovely folks) and one very special anniversary. Yes, they actually attended Kingwood Memory Café ON THE DAY of their anniversary. (Be sure to watch the sweet video of their long-ago decision to spend the rest of their lives together.)😍 … Then of course there was bingo, with YouTube’s Baby TV projected on the big screen for baby G’s enjoyment during the game (as if watching mom and great grandma wasn’t enough!). It was truly a wonderful evening. 🥳 Thanks to our full crew of volunteers – Lesley, Debbie, Marc, and Paula – who did their usual fantastic job of setting up, serving, assisting in the activities, and cleaning up afterwards. We are so fortunate to have their generous hearts and busy hands on our team!💕

Kingwood Memory Cafe is always on the move! Well..or at least the idea is to keep you moving! 😀 Our "Scarf Dancing" will not only get your blood flowing with gentle stretches but will engage your senses with its bright colors & soft textures. And let's not forget the emotional connection evoking nostalgic memories when paired with familiar music 🎼. The beauty of Scarf Dancing is that it can be enjoyed by all and is not limited by one's mobility. We've got you covered standing or sitting.

Once we've warmed you up 😂you'll be all set to focus on team bingo! Lots of prizes, laughter and camaraderie! Oh! And I almost forgot to mention there is always plenty of food! 😋
