Through interaction within the community through health fairs, churches, and other available speaking forums, we are working to touch the lives of many everyday so they will know what this disease is about.

Today, February 4th is World Cancer Day

The World Cancer Day theme 2025-2027, “United by Unique” places people at the centre of care and explores new ways of making a difference.   

Cancer is more than just a medical diagnosis—it’s a deeply personal matter. Behind every diagnosis lies a unique human story - stories of grief, pain, healing, resilience, love and more.  

That’s why a people-centred approach to cancer care that fully integrates each individual’s unique needs, with compassion and empathy, leads to the best health outcomes.  

Every experience with cancer is unique and it will take all of us, united, to create a world where we look beyond the disease and see the person before the patient. A world where the needs of people and communities are at the centre of health systems.

In 2025, there will be an estimated 316,950 new cases of invasive breast cancer diagnosed in women; 2,800 new cases diagnosed in men, and an additional 59,080 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) diagnoses in women.

One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and one in 43 will die from the disease.

In 2025, it is estimated that 42,170 women and 510 men in the United States will die of breast cancer.

WeCARE Grant Applications Now Open

The WeCARE Grant season is officially open! This grant provides financial assistance to patients and families currently undergoing active treatment for Leiomyosarcoma (LMS). Designed to help with small, but essential expenses such as hotel stays, food, parking, gas, and more, the WeCARE Grant aims to ease some of the burdens that come with cancer treatment.

Eligible individuals can now apply at www.CureLMS.org.
