STOP THE SILENCE. BREAK THE SHAME. LET’S HAVE THE CONVERSATION.

Sometimes our young people are carrying things they don’t know how to explain.

Sometimes they’re struggling behind a smile.

Sometimes parents know something is wrong but don’t know what to say.

Sometimes educators, mentors, coaches, and youth leaders see the signs but need a way to begin the conversation.

That is part of why my son Donte and I wrote DON’T QUIT: This Is NOT the End.

This book is personal.
It was written from two perspectives both the perspective of a mother who loves her son and also brings years of professional experience working with children and families, and the perspective of a teenage son willing to share his own experiences of navigating mental crisis.

Our goal was to help break the silence and shame surrounding mental and emotional struggles and give families and communities something they could actually use to start talking and be proactive with preventive solutions.

We wanted to touch:
A teenager can read it and recognize, “I’m not the only one.”

A parent can use it to open conversations that may otherwise feel uncomfortable.

An educator or youth leader can use it to create meaningful discussions about emotional wellness, resilience, coping, asking for help, and hope.
Because sometimes the conversation we are afraid to have is exactly the conversation someone needs us to have.

This SEPTEMBER we have a PAY-IT-FORWARD SPECIAL!

For Su***de Awareness Month, We want these books in the hands of more adolescents, teens, young adults, parents, schools, churches, mentoring programs, and youth organizations.

So for the remainder of September:
BUY ONE. GIVE ONE.

2 signed books for $20 (the price of ONE).

Keep one for your family, classroom, organization, church, or program and intentionally give the second copy to another student or family.

Imagine what could happen if each of us helped start one more conversation.

This September, don’t just raise awareness.
Start a conversation.
Share a resource.
Reach a young person.
Pay hope forward. 💛

👇🏾 Comment “DON’T QUIT” to reserve your 2 signed copies for $20.

Please share this or tag a parent, educator, counselor, coach, church leader, mentor, youth organization, or community leader who works with young people.

Their story is not over. This is NOT the end. 💛

Thank you in advance!

Special Thanks to KDH for inviting me to sit down on KDH Podcast for Su***de Awareness Month to discuss Stigma that still exists around mental health.

We covered so much including: how to implement practical self care practices for our wellbeing, how to find community support, understanding our limits, setting healthy boundaries, and cultivating positive habits and relationships.

If you would like to listen to the full discussion with Dr. Elizabeth Jennings it is featured on Season 2, Episode 34 of Inside Killeen, titled “Breaking the Silence on Mental Health with Dr. Elizabeth Jennings.”

I want to say thank you, To everyone who stops me and lets me know personally how much my books have touched, healed, helped, encouraged, supported, guided, or inspired you through a challenging season, year, or period in life.

You will never know the cost or journey that God has taken me through to get the oil produced for His glory!

Writing is the ministry God has chosen for me to share the love, grace, forgiveness, kindness, healing, joy, perseverance, faith, and resilience of Christ in our life.

I will continue to show up and I pray that God continues to let those who need a little bit of light and hope to wander and find their way to cross my path. 🙏🏾

To God be all the Glory!

🔥 MENSHIFT IS EXPANDING — AND THIS ONE WILL HIT HOME 🔥
This month we’re opening the room.
Not just for men But for the people who LOVE them.
Because healing, communication, and connection don’t happen in isolation.

💥 MENSHIFT: THE COMMUNICATION RESET Rebuilding Relationships Across Every Stage of a Man’s Life

This is more than a conversation, This is where families begin to understand each other differently.

💡 Let’s be real
👉 Why do men go quiet?
👉 Why does communication break down over time?
👉 How do fathers reconnect with their sons?
👉 How do mothers show up without losing the bond?
👉 What does a man actually NEED as he transitions through life?

💥 WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH:
✔ How to make communication a two-way street (not one-sided frustration)
✔ Understanding the silent language of men
✔ How women can show up in ways that build, not break, connection
✔ Tools to reconnect fathers & sons after distance
✔ Insight into mother-son bonds that last through adulthood
✔ Why men withdraw—and how to respond instead of react
✔ The emotional transitions men go through (that no one teaches)
