Sheri Burlingame, with Kilgore College, is Director of High School Student Success. What is that? This is an extremely important role in the lives of high school students in our smaller area schools who for whatever reason, do not have adult support at home. Her team of counselors are in these schools helping to identify seniors who need help with achieving a productive life. Whether that be college degree, the trades or perhaps apprenticeship. These counselors guide these young adults into a reality of what life can look like as an independent and productive member of the community. If you own or work for a company and you would like to learn more and/or would be willing to partner with this program in any way please reach out to Sheri at K.C.. Your participation can have a huge impact on these kiddos as well as our communities.

You might have seen our Rotarians out and about this week as they raised the stars and stripes on their local flag routes!

Our next patriotic holiday is Flag Day then Fourth of July. Especially as the nation celebrates , we'd love to add your home or business to our flag program!

Rotary Club of Kilgore visited Merritt Preferred Components today. We had a great tour and enjoyed lunch from Chick-fil-A. Our Rotary Club is proud, pleased and impressed to have this caliber of business right here in Kilgore.
