💜🌟 Volunteers of the Week! 🌟💜

This Juneteenth week, Cooking With Love is proud to recognize our incredible Volunteers of the Week, Dot Bailey in the center flanked by Reverends Kelly Durbin on her left and Gina Durbin on her right! ❤️

Their compassion, servant leadership, and unwavering commitment to our community help make our mission possible week after week. Whether they’re lending a hand in the kitchen, supporting our volunteers, or sharing hope and encouragement, they lead by example with hearts full of love and service.

This week’s delicious menu included:
🍽️ Swedish meatballs with noodles
🥗 Fresh olive and tomato salad
🥕 Vegetable medley
🍓 Fresh strawberries

Every meal we prepare is more than just food—it’s a reminder that someone cares. Thanks to dedicated volunteers like Reverends Keely and Gina Durbin, we continue bringing nourishment, kindness, and hope to seniors and neighbors facing food insecurity throughout Key West.

Her commitment goes far beyond meal delivery—she has also been a generous supporter of our mission through her financial contributions, helping ensure that we can continue providing nutritious meals to those who need them most.

💜🥪 Volunteers of the Day & A Meal Made with Love 🥪💜

Today, we are proud to recognize our incredible Volunteers of the Day from Hyatt Vacation Club — Wilson Olsrud, and Quinn Pass — pictured alongside MCC Key West Senior Pastor Rev. Gina Durbin. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and servant hearts helped make another successful Cooking With Love delivery day possible.

Every week, volunteers like these make a real difference in the lives of island seniors, homebound residents, and neighbors experiencing food insecurity. We are grateful for their time, compassion, and commitment to serving our community.

Today’s meal was generously co-sponsored by Jose Valdez in loving memory of Nancy Strauss, one of our longtime meal recipients. This thoughtful tribute honors Nancy’s memory by helping provide nutritious meals to others in need—a beautiful way to continue her legacy of community and care.

• Bermuda Vegetable Medley

💜🌈 Community Love in Action! 🌈💜

This morning, Cooking With Love was honored to receive an incredibly generous $9,000 donation presented by Stephen Aube and the incredible team from the Key West Mile Markers Pedaling In 2026 For The Key West Community to Rev Gina Durbin from MCC Key West and Cooking With Love

A very special thank you goes to Donald Gene Dotzauer, whose heartfelt gift was made in honor of his father, Earl Dotzauer. Earl’s final wish was that donations be made to his son’s favorite charities in lieu of flowers. What a beautiful legacy of compassion, generosity, and love. Through this gift, Earl’s kindness will continue to touch lives throughout our community for years to come. ❤️

We also extend our deepest gratitude to the amazing Laurie Thibaud, host and MC of the annual Real Men Do Drag-The Epic Key West Mile Marker Fundraiser event, along with the amazing Juan Benitez and the outstanding team at the AquaPlex Key West. Together, they raised $32,000, benefiting four wonderful island charities, including Cooking With Love. Their commitment to giving back truly embodies the spirit of Key West and the power of community. 🏳️‍🌈🏆

Another huge thank you goes to Joey Schroeder, Jackie Gwidt and the team at the Bourbon Street Pub Key West, whose Celebrity Stoli Vodka Bartender Challenge during Pride Week raised an additional $1,000 for each charity. Their generosity and enthusiasm helped make an already incredible week even more impactful.

To everyone who attended these events, donated, volunteered, cheered, and supported these fundraisers—thank you. Because of your kindness, Cooking With Love can continue providing nutritious meals to island seniors, homebound neighbors, and others facing food insecurity.
