Big Laurel Learning Center summer camps, service immersion trips, retreats, environmental education, community building We are called to seek out and serve one another.

Located on a 400 acre land reserve we strive daily to be stewards of the earth and each other. With joy and gratitude, we celebrate the goodness and dignity of all creation in a sustainable community. We promote responsible living with all of God’s creation and recognize the Earth as a spiritual resource. We welcome all on our journey to fullness of life through prayer, action, and reflection. We

strive to fulfill community needs through holistic education and quality-of-life assistance. Visiting youth and adult groups are invited to take part in meaningful service that models a faith that is alive through works.

Earlier this spring we tapped ten maple trees and collected the sap (full disclosure, two of them were either dead or the wrong type of tree LOL). For several weeks, we collected the sap, and when we had collected enough we boiled it down into syrup. Each jar of maple syrup represents about 10 gallons of sap and several hours of perfectly timed boiling. We had so much fun learning about this process and enjoying some of nature’s earliest springtime bounty! 🍁🥞🍁🧇😋
