Attention PTSA members!
We need at least 10 members to attend the brief final PTSA meeting this Tuesday 6/9 at 7pm to vote on the slate of officers for next year. (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87681697706)

❗️At this time the positions of PRESIDENT and TREASURER still need to be filled, though we are able to accept nominations from the floor during the meeting. As a reminder the PTSA cannot continue to legally function without these two roles filled.❗️

If you have interest in either role but aren’t confident you can handle it, please know there is ongoing support offered from both of the outgoing officers over the next school year - we each have one final year at NMMS but are term limited out of our positions. Please reach out ASAP to [email protected] if you can help.

We are looking forward to Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week on May 4 - May 8, it is just around the corner! The PTSA will be hosting a weeklong celebration at the school. We can use volunteers for help, donations of items, or monetary donations. Links are below for the sign up genius and donation page. Please consider helping us to make this week great for our Newport Mill staff and teachers!

The items we are asking for donations are:
Monday: coffee, juice and whole fruit.
Tuesday: main or side dishes, sodas or seltzers, dessert items
Wednesday: sweet or salty snacks
All week: Your time if you have it! An hour would be so helpful! Being in the school and interacting with staff and teachers is amazing, they love to see us! :)

We really could use more adult volunteers for concessions and ticket sales at the dance tomorrow night! Please consider stepping up if you can - it’s not difficult work and everything runs smoother when there’s enough people to share the load! (And you can mostly ignore your kids, if they’re embarrassed of you showing up 😂)

Newport Mill's Student Government Association (SGA) and PTSA will be throwing another dance on 3/26 due to popular demand! This is the ADULT sign-up for volunteering. If students want to sign up to help, please talk to Ms. Snyder in the Media Center.

The NMMS annual Tiger Run is on April 17th! Please join us to cheer on the students as they all run 1 mile with their PE classes! This is also the PTSA’s largest fundraiser of the year, so please click on the link below to create an account for your child and then share widely for the chance to win great prizes!
