At our October 1 meeting, our Youth Services Committee recognized a wonderful young man who embodies Rotary's Four-Way Test:

How many of you went to the Soup Dogs Band concert on Sept 18 at Bookwalter W**ery? 🙋‍♀️

It was a wonderful night of good music, a delightful venue, and beautiful weather! And a really great thing? Bookwalter owner John Bookwalter presented the band with a $2,500 check for Columbia Center Rotary's Humanitarian Fund, which provides education and awareness surrounding human trafficking.

Well done, boys!

At our Oct 1 meeting, we heard from our former members, Davin Diaz, who is the executive director of the Richland Public Facilities District. Davin spoke about unlocking a once-in-a-generation opportunity at Columbia Park West.

The Richland Public Facilities District provides governance, financial oversight, and long-range planning for public facilities that serve residents and visitors.​

Guess what time it is? It's time to celebrate this year's students as part of Kamiakin High School Student of the Month program!

Our September honorees, who we met at our Sept 24 meeting, were Noelia and Finley.

Noelia has a 3.6 GPA and takes AP classes in human geography, Spanish, language, statistics, government, and psychology. She is the ASB president and a member of Link Crew. She plans to attend the University of Washington or Boise State with a major in elementary education.

Finley has a 2.8 GPA and takes AP classes in U.S. history, art and design, and language. She is the senior class president and a member of Link Crew, DECA, and the swim team. After taking a gap year, she plans to attend the University of Tennessee, majoring in forensic science.

Last night was not "B9" as our Rotarians, joined by Rotarians from other local clubs, played Bingo!

The event was put on by our W**e Fellowship to raise money for future events. It's on good authority that it was a great time with wonderful food, lots of fun, and fabulous fellowship!
